You can tell it's a different era of football. Defenders are afraid to hit the QB in the open field because of a potential penalty. It's frustrating but easy to see!

We have gotten flagged multiple times this game for late hits and they are baiting it...
Their return men run to the sideline then dance to bait it. Their QB does the same.

Plays after we went up 17-0 were 23-6 in favor of Auburn. And they had two 10-play drives. Those long drives are tough on a defense.

Yes, but the clock was our friend there, no use blitzing and giving up an easy TD. If we score one TD in the 2nd half Auburn has to score 18 to tie or 19 to win, all we need to do is do not turn the ball over.
If we would have been told we would be up 11 at the half we would have taken it. The first drive is the key. Stop them cold.
