I hate to say it, but maybe Pate and whoever were right about the players making a stand with Milroe and Saban cowing.
Otherwise, it makes no sense that he sticks with him. You have a good defense and ST, play the guy who won't give the game away.
Did the "players only meetings" go from a way of getting the leaders to repeat Saban's talking points to the underclassmen to a player's union deciding what to dictate to Saban?

Delayed blitz finally worked lol there's no excusing Milroe's play anymore.
