Not a bad group of players. Felt like so many left in the portal plus Harris going to the league

Gotta have a couple young guys step up and play at ILB. Lucky we are stacked literally everywhere else.

Has it been confirmed we recruited Law as a RB?

Law could end up playing RB or WR, maybe repping more at RB this spring with a few RBs out due to injuries.

Anyone heard about how Kennedy is progressing as a LB?

Yea - feel fine about LB depth. Absolutely no concerns.

Honestly, I don't have any depth concerns anywhere on the roster other than QB if Bryce got hurt. There are different concerns at some spots (WR and OL, mainly), but I feel good about the depth of talent and mix of experience basically everywhere.

There is a reason why J Moody isn't coming back next year and that is because of who is ready.

just guessing that kennedy lost some valuable time at lb while reping at rb

Perhaps but on the other hand that is a sign the staff trusts him. In the grand scheme of things, losing a few weeks of practice at backer in season when he was probably mostly doing scout team work anyway probably isn't that big of a cost.

Doesn’t look too “light” to me.

I wouldn't call it valuable time. If he's a smart guy he definitely picked up a few things we can use when he goes back to defense full time. It might help him better understand what offenses and opposing RBs are doing.

Moody coming back is a big win for us imo. He’s a good LB that just seems to have a lower ceiling than our other recruits. If he starts, it’s likely because the younger ones aren’t yet up to speed and theoretically they’d get up to speed throughout the season. Could see him overtaken similar to how Turner beat out Sanders once he was given ample reps to adjust and demonstrate his skill

Moody should know the defense quite well, and be able to make the calls allowing Henry to be more read and react which could help him mitigate the mistakes we saw this past season where he appeared to be overthinking things at times

Either way, it puts us in a good spot having an older player to help the more talented underclassmen learn from
