Would you rather read CrimsonFever's BS?
How about some actual discussion for a change?
How do you guys feel about the 2014 VA guys you're going after? Not asking for the chances you land them, but where do you see them fitting in if you land any of them?

Hand - Jack. My only concern is arm length. It was reported that he did the most push-ups at the one of the camps which could indicate short arms.
Brown - Jack or DE. Doubt we have a chance since he attends Phillip Sims' high school
Blanding - Safety unless he puts on considerabe weight

I'm sure Phil smoothed things over on our behalf.

No I would not. I am actually very glad to see you and the others back. This thread has been as wothless as a one-legged man in an arse kicking contest since the other thread was locked. You only ever see recruiting info every three or four days now. The rest is mindless drivel.

I agree....but like the arse kicking contest....pretty entertaining from time to time, you must admit.

Tbh with staff extremely focused on camp and getting ready for the season it has been a slow time for recruiting, Bama will get a pretty big commit on the 24th, but other than that this is the slowest time of the yr rec wise

I think you know why... Though it seems to me that both LSU and Alabama have sewn up 2013 pretty much and are much more excited about 2014... What was in the water in Virginia and Louisiana circa 1996?

Walker is still a possibility by the end of the month and he may want to wait till after he visits both Bama and UT on an OV at the middle to end of Sept

You Bammers can correct me, but I think Bama wants Henry to hold out as long as possible as both Jones and Tenpenny are more than a bit uneasy about the numbers at this point. I have heard differing things about Jones and Bama/Georgia. One said that his family is more than a little wary about half-truths coming out of Tuscaloosa while another says there is no reason to get excited about Jones in relation to UGA unless his family takes a visit. Personally I am OK with UGA picking up Kamara and possibly Turman this year or even just one of them and going after a second next year with Stanley Williams. As for Kamara, apparently family members who travelled down to Colquitt County for the game were only talking UGA, so take that FWIW.

Henry will commit when he's ready, he's not being held from committing and I made a very thoughtful post on this exact situation on Ga Rec Thread, maybe if you spent some more time over there you would've read it
Anyway the much bigger threat of flipping is Tenpenny to Arkansas, and if that happens, the battle for Kamara will heat up, Kamara loves Bama and if he has a spot would likely take advantage, he has a spot already offered at UGA. As I said in the UGA thread there are 2 very close ppl to the TJones situation close to the family and close to Jones himself (his T&F coach) who both say there is no chance of him not going to Bama, but again like I posted, once the rubber meets the road anything could happen but it would shock me if Tyren isn't in Crimson, Tenpenny not so much however.

Jones may decommit and thats his choice but he is quoted as to saying many months ago that Bama was looking to take 3 backs in this class, so to say his family doesnt like the half/truths is just ignorant of the facts. Kamara isnt big enough to play RB in any pro style offense in the SEC, so if you are counting on him then good luck.

Well then Jones and people close to him are being more than coy with UGA coaches, which wouldn't surprise me in the least. I would also say that the Kamara camp sounds like it is talking out of both sides of their mouth as insiders for both schools have been confident since early last Spring. It is what it is. This is the only time the recruit ever has the upper hand. The way that Marshall, Gurley, and Hicks are balling in practice, though, I ain't too worried as long as UGA picks up at least one decent back this year. I guess it sounds like Bryant might be an option as well although I am not sure if he has visited UGA recently. All I know is that it is very significant that UGA has been pretty damn quiet on the RB recruiting front other than Green finally visiting, but not sure that counts as no one really expects to pick him up.

i just dont want to lose tenpenny, i think he is the real deal. i would be okay with tenpenny/jones, tenpenny/henry, or all 3.

I'd rather just stick with Jones/Tenpenny. Henry is a freak athlete, but unless he embraces the eventual move to TE or LB, he will never turn that athleticism into on field production.

Are there any Linebackers we are recruiting to take the place of Foster. I know he is old news but I want to know what our contingency play.
