Saban's Thinning hair

Is it me or is Saban hair that thin. When the rain set in and got Saban's hair wet. I could literally see the balding scalp of his head.

re: HUNH in the SEC

Florida State and whether you agree or not Alabama(in the Sugar Bowl) showed you how you adjust to that HUNH offense, Flordia Stste more so than Bama. Your two ends will play a two technique instead of a three. For some reason having your ends in a stand up positions allows the defense to collapse the run and contain read option QBs better. When Bama went to it in the second half it slowed Oklahoma's offense miraculously. But turnovers and boneheaded plays in the secondary(Ala 3rd and very long conversion) did not help. FSU slowed Auburn's attack quite well. Your never going to stop those type offenses, but with a ball control offense and some defensive stops you will beat those type of teams.

What happen to the bring in the nose guard or tackle type for short yardage and goal line situations? We need to bring the Elephant package back

Auburns playbook?

Is it me or did Oklahoma runs Auburn's playbook. It seem like we were playing Auburn offense to me. Did Stoops call Malzahn and say hey give us your playbook.

Yeldon tip toes to much at times. Drake hits the hole harder
Oh come on fellas, I'm trying to start a thread without coming off as a douchebag. I'm saying the rules have woosified the game a bit. But hopefully the hits and smashes will continue. :dude:
As you know I have recognized games for their intensity and hard hits or just flat out impact and collisions of the game. However with the passage of no leading with the helmet and you can't hit above the shoulders rules. Gents I just don't think we are going to get that "POW" or "BOOM" we crave during a game. That Clowney hit on that Michigan player could have easily been flagged if you had the wrong refs in. Lets hope this year the Refs allows men to be men in a gladiatorial type game and we get the smash and grab, carnage we love to see. I almost feel bad for saying it but I don't want players hesitant because they might hit someone the wrong way because a running back or receiver ducked. But in any event I hope this year is injury free for everyone or at minimal injuries, the less serious type and we get what we like

I am so grateful that I was a fan for that time period. It sucked soooooooooooo bad. And it has made our current success INFINITELY better, having never given up on loving Bama football. Oh, and never.

I agree with you Bro. I was in school during the end of Stalling's Tenure and the beginning of the Dubose years so I know. I said I will stand firm and not be a bandwagon fan so I savior also the Saban years.

I was there, it was a pretty awesome crowd for an NIT game

re: Paying players?

Posted by Bama Brotha on 11/21/12 at 8:07 am
Yes, they should get paid. Free education , The military academy, blah, blah are overrated statements. These kids are put bodies on the line every weekend. All we do is pat them on the back. give them some publicity and make overrated statements about how its a privilege to go to this school and that school. You won't allow them to work during the summer or for someone because of so called favoritism or preferential treatment. Then in Basketball they keep raising the age limit so the NCCAA can keep "pimping theses boys" because of the lost revenue from one and done players or the possibility of a Kobe Bryant or Lebron James not playing in a "Final Four". Screw that crap! They deserve to be paid. One day the Canadian football league is going to be bold and take a high school 5 star player out of high school.
