The Braves manager fricked this up. The bullshite batting order he threw out for game one fricked the team up. This team led the majors and set records. He fricked up the continuity and the familiarity of the lineup. Amazingly after the FAILED experiment and the losing game one, he went back to the REAL lineup.

Bottom of the order was 1/15 batting.

Unacceptable.

The mocking is what passes me off...as well as Harper admiring is 1st Homer and the throat slashed....they should have beaned him..

Side note...their aces just went...we have ours to go...if they do as they should, Braves should win

All the time off and victory parades he allowed the last week of the season, screwed this team up.

The Phillies are in their head for some reason. Doesn’t make sense but they are.

They very well may be. But the bullshite line-up batting order for game one was idiotic and no doubt f'd with psyche of the team.

Haven’t watched as much this season but I’ve watched these three games and the Phillies just look like the better treat. Braves stole that one last night or it would be a sweep.

It doesn’t help not having a healthy game 3 starter. Freaking injuries! Morton or Wright would have been nice here….

This series turned in Game 1 when the Braves couldn't win a bullpen game with Strider starting. Same as last season. Braves got only 5 singles in that game, but changing the lineup and not having to play meaningful baseball in almost 3 weeks hurts your timing.

This series is going back to ATL. Philly ain't winning 2 bullpen games in a best of 5. If they do, then this season has been a fraud for the Braves. The question is: can Fried win game 5 in the Dirty?

Braves in 5.

Smith-Shawver starts game 1 of the NLCS vs Arizona.

They needed to commit to a strategy. I was certain we were going to have our own bullpen game today. I thought they would let Elder start it because he has the starting experience - get through their lineup one time then start bringing in every arm we have depending on the situation.

Under no circumstances can you let the No.5 starter give up 6 runs.

Under no circumstances can you let Bryce Harper face Elder twice. That was the game. A lefty should have been up and ready specifically for Schwarber and Harper that second time around. Holy frick we are talking baseball 101 here. Sickening. frick the Phillies. Man, I hope this team decides to get real tomorrow.

Morton would start game 1 of the LCS. I’m shocked we didn’t fake an injury to get him to start today.

But they gotta change this playoff format. Also Snitker is lucky he won the WS in 21. His decision making in this postseason has been brutal. If not for that WS fans would be calling for his job

This.

On a Braves text thread, we were all screaming to take him out prior to facing Schwarber and Harper a 2nd time with men on base. Your pitcher had like a 6 ERA in the 2nd half for a reason! You don’t leave him out there against the 2nd best lineup in baseball without handing them the game.

Then going with Tonkin who is the only reason we tied the HR record by getting lit up in his last outing against a terrible lineup??? My 10yr old son could have managed better than that.

I love Snit as a person and the clubhouse culture he creates, but he needs to be fired for how bad of a game manager he is. I also blame AA for not having a definitive plan going into this game. I said before the game that if they started Elder, they should have Jiminez or Yates ready to go out of the gate and bring them in at the first sign of trouble to get out of it (even if it was Harper with men on in the 1st inning). Then go to Smith-Shawver or your other long guys in a clean inning. Snit literally did the opposite of that plan and gave up 6 runs in 3 innings because of it. AA deserves some serious blame as well.

ETA: we also should have had a lot more runs than 1 after 3 innings with how shaky Nola was. He didn’t settle in until he got the 5 run lead. Our hitters would have had a completely different situation if Snit didn’t give Nola an insurmountable lead.

Giving up 6 homeruns didn't help either.

Game was over after the 2nd one. Changed all the momentum and allowed the Phillies hitters and pitchers to relax.

Nola was very nervous in the first 3 innings and you could see it most when pitching to Olson with a man on. 4 pitch walk (unfortunately Ozuna didn’t make contact again the next batter.).

Keep it tied or take the lead back and it’s a totally different feel in the box and on the mound for them (not to mention the crowd).

Yep, just find a way to win today and get it back to Atlanta. At this point, outside of 3 innings in game 2, the Phillies have just wanted it more than our guys. Period. To steal a phrase from Minter, time to see if the Braves have the guts and nuts to win 2 in a row.

Actually assuming Strider wins tonight we would have Fried matched up against Wheeler again so game 5 will be a tough one to get. Wheeler has been tough on us.

Im preparing for loss so i can be pleasantly surprised if the Braves can bring it back to Atl.

Hate to be putting everything on Strider - hes still green to be asked to shoulder this much pressure, but if he wants to go to the next level and start next season as a cy young front runner it very well could start tonight
