A non-unsportsmanlike technical foul is assessed if the ball is put into play and remains in play with a team having six or more players on the court. Ball never got into play

So when the other team scores, the ball is not considered to be in play? Serious question, I thought everything was live until a TO is called or the whistle blows.

With the new rules, the clock stops after made baskets in the final two minutes. So as soon as the shot went in, it was technically not a live ball. But even still, the guy they were talking about was actually in the game. He was just over on the corner by the bench.

I thought if you leave the bench while the game is going on that's a technical?

If you run onto the floor, yeah. It's not a tech to just get up and jump around or anything.

THE PLAYER HE CALLED OUT WAS IN THE GAME. NOT ON THE BENCH

If you need a tickytack call to win at the end of a game, you don't deserve to win the game.

Yeah that was not as dramatic as the title. He says it very matter of factly and even sounds like he understands why it wouldn't be called a T. Click bait

Pretty much all of us when something like that happens to our team. Immediately looking for flags, something to have hope when that’s your only chance.

It's the most helpless feeling as a sports fan ever. "This can't be it, surely there's something else"
