Mississippi State Transfer's Father ‘Didn’t Feel Comfortable’ With Mike Leach After Controversial Tw
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
Mike Leach's controversial tweet last week caused him to lose Mississippi State defensive lineman Fabien Lovett to the transfer portal. Lovett’s father Abdual was part of the decision to leave and here's why his son left...
quote:

“I didn’t feel comfortable with my son being down there with a guy like that from a leadership standpoint — that you can just throw anything out there,” Abdual told the Clarion Ledger on Saturday. “I feel if he can do it, the kids are going to feel like they can do it.”

Man this tweet is so overblown. The noose had nothing to do with African Americans, racism, etc. it was just a tweet about being quarantined. We are way too sensitive as a society.

Don't even try to insinuate that people of other races were hanged as well

Mylsuhat- Seriously, you are not this ignorant of history. Hanging was the number 1 means of execution in America until around 1960. The vast majority of those hanged were whites.

Says more about the person transferring than Leach.

wow! So now tweeting about getting on your wife’s nerves is racist? This country has gone to shite! No wonder people are moving to Australia

“I feel if he can do it, the kids are going to feel like they can do it.” Great dad. Teach the kid to be a charmin soft perpetual victim instead.

I was so mad when barack obama nominated a woman named Lynch to be attorney general. You would think he'd be more sensitive to the community. Lynch? Come on man

I hope this is a Justin Fields situation where they are just using it to get out of their situation rather than actually being dumb enough and soft enough to be offended by it.

That’s exactly what it is. And our stupid F’in AD just helped them get their way.

What in Leach's past indicated to these folks he WAS NOT a guy who would just "throw anything out there"?

I'm very liberal and still think it's ridiculous anyone would get offended by that tweet. Since quarantining has been a thing, people have made jokes about spouses wanting to kill each other. A noose is not inherently a racist image.

What's wrong with the tweet? How is that offensive?

Anything with a damn noose in it gives democrats the right to play the victim. Guess it’s time to burn all of the old spaghetti westerns.

Fake News, a bunch of BS. This guy was leaving anyway. MSU switched to a 3 man front and he was going to be no better than 3rd at NG. His dad is just butt hurt that he slid down the depth chart with the coaching change.

Get rid of the victim mentality seeking losers. They are pathetic.

Dad is uncomfortable? Football is not traditionally about comfort. Also. how does "dad" know he is the real dad? Did Maury confirm?

That's ridiculous, it wasn't that big of a deal.
