Stop that! I've seen many walk-ons put in the work and get the recognition for it. Moreso because they're doing it as walk ones. And those walk-ons who do even more become scholar athletes. I agree that he has to do what's best for him and I wish him the best of luck.

Hopefully he can gain a scholarship with a school that plays football and has a top MBA program. I'm thinking Rice, Columbia, Penn, Harvard if he's got graduated with high honors. Honors grad would suggest schools like UMass, UCF, Temple, North Florida, Samford or West Carolina. Still needs to test well on the GMAT, but there's a host of solid prep classes to know the ends and outs of the test.

He was a walk on that actually had some talent.

It is the offseason

To his credit he worked his way up to playing time. He contributed on special teams and even had a few receptions during his time. Every team needs a few players like him on the roster, but he’s also earned the right to go somewhere else for more playing time to finish out his career.

No one should be bashing this guy. He walked on, earned some time on the field AND graduated in 3 years. His major was an actual one and he paid his dues by helping the others prep for games.

Isn't this what we all want to see? He will go somewhere and get a graduate degree while continuing to play the game he loves. If he gets a shot at the next level, good for him. If not, he lived out his sports dreams and will have an education to show for it.
