We run the same offense, however with a quarterback that refuses to run. Nothing exotic happened here. The idea that A&M would have stuck with their starter and we gave them three short possessions because of irresponsible turnovers by our quarterback, three times in our own 35 that they would not have scored is a fantasy. A&M put up 21 points driving less than 100 yards total, regardless of who was at quarterback that was going to happen, imo. The idea that Kelly throws players under the bus does not jive, any other coach would recognize that Jaime Howard 2.0 showed up in the second half, but I believe Kelly has been pretty diplomatic with his criticism of Nuss. Stop blaming the defense, they did not sign up for three drives starting in scoring position for the other team. we have no running game because our OC cant adjust and stop running the read option with a non running quarterback. If you are unwilling to pull your quarterback, like A&M did, or start running a two back set to grind a bit and shorten the game with the lead, that is on coaching, but not the immature interceptions, that's on the QB who plays way too loose with the ball. We could have rolled out Andrew Hatch, Jordan Jefferson or Marcus Randall in the second half and won that game. No turnovers, long, time consuming drives with an average field goal kicker and special teams and LSU wins.
