re: Giving Shough as MANY weapons as possible. This isn’t a one year rebuild.

I would definitely like to re-sign Olave, but not at $35M per (unless that’s the top with incentives)
You have to spend money one way or another. I think of it as we’re probably going to get a top 10 wr1/2 punch right now with Olave + Tyson/bryce for ~$40m a year. That’s a steal

It makes more sense to try and maximize Shoughs production now. He’s an older sophomore. This is the year that they have to try and see what he can do. Give him blockers and give him weapons. Score a bunch of points, build some excitement, Try to compete for the division this year, then go all in on defense next year.
Honestly I’m super happy with the strategy right now

All teams are chasing the shiny toys

We’re about to get a steal
re: Todd Graves has gone public on wanting to own Gayle’s franchises possibly one day.

NFL bylaws say that you only need 30% liquid to purchase a team, you can also have minority investors and up to like 1.5 bil in debt to make the sale happen. I seriously doubt the saints are worth more than $4.5bil right now.
So the question really is, does Todd have the ability to scrounge together ~1.5bil liquid.
Honestly for people like him, it’s less of a business decision and more of a personal. The NfL is a cash monster. The worst team still profits 10s of millions a year. So really, the fact that he’s already saying he’s interested is enough. If the opportunity presents itself, he will buy.

The return for a coach who already won a Super Bowl, and is constantly competing for them was incredibly poultry. We bailed him and Denver out significantly. Loomis is such a cuck.

I’m gonna give you the benefit of the doubt here and assume you mean someone ahead of us will reach for Chambliss leaving us with someone who may not have been available.
This is obviously what he meant. This place is so dense.
Best case scenario honestly

Saints were good enough to win today with an offense of Tyler Shough and career practice squad guys. Shough showed us at the end that he's still that dude. Bucs get fricked. Saints get a top 10 draft pick. I'll take it

It's almost happened like 5 times now.
Shough is clearly better than Cam Ward

Number 1 is going to throw a pic to lose them the game at the end. Calling it now. It will be the story of his career
81 and 83 not being able to recover that in the end zone is fricking pathetic.

. If this was lesser level of football, they both be doing loose ball drills the rest of the week. But of course, you can't do that with millionaires. You just have to cut players like that at this level. They don't have it
re: Cam Jordan is at 126 career sacks

What's more crazy is that Myles Garrett might have more than him before Eoy. He'll likely have the all time record
re: If Shough started the season

Of course because the division is dog shite
re: Shough 2-3 as starter is low key impressive

if Olave catches a ball that drops right in the bread basket, he's 3-2

Just got the boot from the clippers in a pretty classless move on his final year. Let's bring him back here, and let him do a nice farewell tour. It'll help sell tickets and he can mentor some of our young guys who desperately need it. Maybe even get him in the building for potential coaching role down the road. Head coach?
Lane'$ contract
Posted by AlabamasSalaryCap on 12/1/25 at 11:18 am
Most fans worrying about LSU spending $91 million on Lane Kiffin is like stressing about what your neighbor spends on a yacht — it’s not your yacht, it’s not your money, and you’re not invited to drive it anyway. The school and its boosters are playing with SEC-sized wallets, and if they want to drop a small fortune to chase titles, that’s their business. You’re not writing the checks, you’re not negotiating the contract, you’re not losing sleep over the buyout, so why pretend like you’re financially involved?
LSU spending big is a sign they’re serious about winning, not a reason for everyday fans to panic.
You don’t get a discount on beer if they save money, and your Saturday doesn’t get more fun when the coach is cheaper. You either want championships or you want coupons. you can’t have both.
Sit back, crack a beer, and enjoy the show. Let rich people stress about rich-people decisions.

I mean Olave is terrible

Just trade him for a mini cooler or something at this point.
However, what the frick was moore thinking with that fourth down call? Just awful

Why wouldn't LSU want to hire Saban?
Posted by AlabamasSalaryCap on 11/4/25 at 3:30 pm
He's worth whatever he wants at this point. Set the terms very clear. 4 years max, then retire into the sunset. He will help us build competency within the program. Objective: build a competitor in 3-4 years, while grooming a successor. Very clear playbook. 20 mil a year. Still cheaper than what we ultimately paid/will pay kelly
