LSU sophomore tight end Ka'Morreun Pimpton has reportedly entered his name into the NCAA transfer portal.

The 6-6, 242-pound tight end would have been in line for more playing time next year with Mason Taylor off to the NFL Draft.

Pimpton, a former four-star recruit from Fort Worth, Texas, played in 11 games this season, catching six passes for 79 yards. He played in eight games during his true freshman season in 2023.

Pimpton's departure means that all three tight ends who signed with LSU in 2023 have transferred out of the program. Mac Markway is now at Nebraska and Jackson McGohan is at Wisconsin.

LSU has two tight ends on the roster heading into next season: freshman Trey’Dez Green and four-star signee JD LaFleur.

Until there is actually some sense of order with the Portal and NIL, the theme for a lot of these kids will be, "Show me the money".

Underwood freed up a lotta money, better use it to retain certain guys.

He had 6 receptions for 79 yards. I don't think we'd miss him nor should spend more than $5k. We have TreyDez Green who is better.

Wanting more NIL money. Portal gets him offers from LSU to keep him or another team can now recruit him. He's gauging the market for his services.

He'd be lucky to get $5k in a season

Welcome to the new age of college / semi pro football. I'd rather a team full of loyal kids.

Absolutely, there isn't a whole lot of dedication and loyalty seen in many players these days.

So why be loyal to them?

I’d rather support a loyal team with heart that loses. Loyalty goes both ways else you’re a sucker for being loyal to them.

The dude can’t block to save his life! Again a TE that absolutely cannot BLOCK and you are super upset. Not o mention he dropped more passses than he has caught
