Me and my wife went to Arizona last October and for two people that have never been out west it was truly a magical experience. It’s a completely different world than SE Louisiana, or anything on this side of Mississippi.

I guess I was comparing it to a backyard ultra that Nate from Kara and Nate on YouTube ran in Australia a few weeks ago when it comes to endurance.

A 5K every hour for 6 hours? Someone with pretty good cardio/endurance should be able to walk 3.2 miles an hours for 6 hours.
re: When Did Hammond Louisiana become the crime capital of the USA?
Posted by gizmothepug on 7/14/26 at 5:19 pm to LivingstonLaw
Interstates that bring in people from the city, and in today’s world, more and more people and drugs from out of the country. Throw in the country/rural element of crime and you get Hammond.

Nothing really seems to affect Netflix negatively in the long run, even with Netflix cracking down on password sharing. I don’t think it had that much effect on them.

And Oliveira dominated Max the entire fight almost to the point of it looking like a grown man fighting a child. Max hung in there the entire fight and didn’t tap but that fight was a bad look for him.

I used to love this show, but after watching the first hour tonight with my mama I had to retreat to the back yard. It’s sad to see what happened to one of the original OG’s of American reality TV.

Both of our children’s names are in that top 10 list however our daughter’s name came about 24 years ago, our sons 14 years ago.

Goldberg would always get those huge pops but he only had what two moves the spear and the jackhammer and then that stupid standing sidekick that basically ended Bret Hart's career
Just you mentioning that probably got him going somewhere. He was great, but he’s without a doubt the most bitter retired wrestler out there. Always negative, I don’t know if I’ve come across him being positive about anything from that era.

I still don't understand why they feel the need to give all the library out for another company to run
It’s all about the money, actual paying customers only matter when it comes to executives figuring out how to nickel and dime those people a little more. It’s getting pretty damn close to wanting the old days of cable/satellite back. The train of streaming isn’t slowing down and I believe without a shadow of a doubt that things like paying for single NFL games on whatever streaming service, local market teams be damned, isn’t that far away.
re: ‘Task’ Season 2 Becomes ‘Mare of Easttown’ Crossover
Posted by gizmothepug on 7/9/26 at 6:47 pm to RLDSC FAN
This could be really good, if not great. Both Task, and Mare of Easttown caught me and my wife off guard with how good they were. Both shows take place in almost the same area in Pennsylvania, makes sense for a crossover.

Not sure the season, but randomly caught the 2 part one on Chris Benoit the other day. I never realized he had a son that wasn’t home that day and still alive. Couldn’t imagine what that kids life is like now.
I didn’t know that until now, maybe I missed it but I don’t recall ever hearing that in all the things I’ve watched and read about that situation.

Saw a video today of some woman claiming she's certain it was a klan initiation ritual.
I don’t know what happened to this kid, but I can guarantee it wasn’t that. How the narrative of the KKK still operating in the south like it was 1966 is mind boggling to me.

The Men’s NBA salaries should split with the Women’s NBA. Let’s see how that works out.
If it wasn’t for the NBA the WNBA wouldn’t still be around. ESPN/ABC has it now and thats why ESPN acts like the average American male has a hard on for below average basketball with a bunch of spiteful and petty women. It’s nothing more than a version of the Real Housewives.
re: Anyone else been disproportionately summoned to jury duty?
Posted by gizmothepug on 7/8/26 at 6:28 pm to StringedInstruments
I went 3 times before being selected the third time for an aggravated rape case that sent that POS to Angola for life. I think the judge said it would be five years before our names were added back in and it wasn’t long after that time period that I received another summons in the mail. Now they go straight to the trash, in Louisiana they can’t prove you received anything in the mail.

Pretty good payday for 3.5 weeks of work no matter how you slice it. 681K if they don't share....363K if they do. Guys like McKennie, Tillman Cardoso and Pulisic are making upwards of 4.5 million a year playing in Europe.....Pulisic also has multi million dollar endorsement deals. I suspect they ain't complaining....especially after their performance onthe pitch Monday night
You can put chocolate syrup and sprinkles on a pile of dog shite, but it’s still dog shite. That type of thinking is what helped lead the world to the lack of common sense.

Pay attention to someone and it usually won’t be long before you learn a lot about someone’s true character.

I’d rather take my chances with a grizzly than go up against a group of pissed off black queens. If possible, I avoid interactions with our black queens and that wasn’t the case 20 years ago. Politicians and social media have truly warped these people’s minds.

Teen takeovers my arse, the talking heads on tv don’t have the balls to say that the majority are fatherless young blacks. We’re talking about the same community that produces mid 30’s grandmothers like it’s fricking going out of style.

B4 Fitness, private owned gym. It’s great IMO, especially for being in a small town.
