What was wrong with Trumps truthful statement that Sedition is punishable by death?

That obviously was not wrong.

He followed that up with this:

It gives ammo to liberals who predictably claim he is calling for the hanging of people and skipping over the trial part (a call to violence). Liberals will predictably link it to the shenanigans of setting up a decorative gallows in front of the US Capitol on Jan 6.

I’d say it was stupid and unnecessarily provocative (aka wrong). There are unhinged people who believe the leftist narratives. I don’t see the wisdom in feeding that narrative.

Meh. Every coach says that and then they take a year off and the blood gets going again.

O waited until the final year of his payoff before deciding he wanted to coach again.

Translation: a fired head coach often cares more to frick over the program that fired him for the right price and will drag it out as long as possible.
That was the 70s/80s equivalent of a Karen move.

It was for the purpose of putting on a show for people in the room. It just sounded like a loss of connection to the people on the other end.

I’ve never heard this phrase in my life.

The first thing to pop in my head was how weird it is to use a cat in the phrase. Seems like there should be something more relatable to those of us who read it. Otherwise we’re left to wonder why a cat’s arse is something you thought about in a response to viewing entertainment content.
What new information did you think you were adding?

Guys. I have never seen that much energy around an LSU Head Coach before

Let’s say it differently:

“I have never seen that much energy around an LSU Head Coach that just squeezed out a 1 point victory against a 2-7 team before”

Sounds different now, doesn’t it? I could have it in me to feel good with the way you phrased it, but I’m embarrassed at the excitement over the way I phrased it.

While many would argue that playing in a bowl game gives next year's team extra practice time, personally, I’d prefer to see the team decline an invitation to a bottom-tier bowl game without 'star players' and/or opt-outs. Most fans, myself included, will definitely not be attending

WTF? Your preference is deny next year’s team an opportunity to develop so you don’t have to be faced with the tragedy of seeing this year’s players opt out?

1) Islam is the only major religion that specifically condemns by name free market/private property based economies. Muhammad’s writings argued for centrally planned economies in which the state coordinated resource allocation. He opposed the price system. Karl Marx credited Muhammad with being the first person to criticize profit.

2) Islam, unlike Judaism and Christianity, argues AGAINST forgiveness. It is the only major religion that argues for revenge and anger.

I’m not the President of the Muzzie fan club, but I don’t see anything in your statement that is true.

Islam explicitly affirms private property, voluntary exchange, and profit. They simply discuss moral limits, much like Judaism and Christianity.

Private property is a core principle in Islamic law (fiqh). Theft is forbidden precisely because ownership is recognized.
• Early Muslim societies operated overwhelmingly on market-based trade, and the Prophet Muhammad himself was a merchant, not a state-planning economist.
• Islam does not forbid profit; it forbids usury (riba) and exploitative practices.
• Classical Islamic jurisprudence includes writings defending free markets, including the famous principle “la tas’ir”—a rejection of government-mandated price fixing except in cases of extreme abuse.
• The claim that Marx credited Muhammad with inventing criticism of profit has no basis in Marx’s writings or any reputable scholarship. Marx barely discussed Islam at all.

Islam’s scripture repeatedly and emphatically praises forgiveness, mercy, patience, and restraint:
• The Qur’an describes God as “the Most Merciful” over 100 times.
• Believers are urged to “forgive and overlook” (Qur’an 64:14), “repel evil with what is better” (41:34), and “restrain anger” (3:134).
• The Prophet Muhammad called forgiveness a sign of strength and instructed his followers to choose it whenever possible.
• Islamic law does allow proportional retaliation (qisas) in certain criminal cases but explicitly encourages choosing forgiveness and compensation (diyah) as the morally superior option.

Judaism and Christianity also balance justice and mercy. Islam isn’t an outlier here. It just lays out the spectrum from accountability to forgiveness very explicitly.

That the only thing cutting supply does is increase the prices making it more lucrative for the black market?

Now think it through using the same reasoning in the opposite direction.

What if we INCREASED the supply by flooding the market with fentanyl to lower the street price. Will usage increase or decrease? It will obviously increase, right? Because it will simply be easier for lazy, undisciplined addicts to get it at lower street prices. New addicts will also be drawn to it (people are drawn to bargain prices). So why bother with your argument?

A very significant problem with demand is likely childhood trauma and poor coping skills. Perhaps what we need is more life skills training in our mandatory school curriculum and less frivolous shite. It’ll obviously take multiple generations to erode bad personal life decisions.

The opposite.

Fewer things trigger an emotional reaction. I think it’s because there are fewer first time experiences.
Don’t remember specifics, but I remember a televised NASA splashdown. My parents thought it was a big deal. Just a capsule with 2-3 red and white parachutes. When the capsule door popped open audible cheers could be heard from the tv audio and my parents seemed pleased and proud as well. It was in the very early 70s and was no older than 4.
