Lane Kiffin Has Hilarious Response To New Book Detailing His Past

Lane Kiffin had a pretty simple response to some of the stories being told about him in a new book.

Excerpts from John Talty’s *Lane Being Lane: The Story of Lane Kiffin, College Football’s Agent of Chaos* were released earlier this month, including details about Kiffin’s time working under Nick Saban at Alabama.

Kiffin responded to the book in a text message to attorney Tom Mars, joking that he could save readers “$33 and lots of reading time” by providing his own summary. Per ESPN:

Take, for instance, Kiffin's reaction to excerpts of John Talty's book, "Lane Being Lane: The Story of Lane Kiffin, College Football's Agent of Chaos," that were released Sept. 2. An excerpt in Vanity Fair detailed the alleged off-field behavior that led former Alabama coach Nick Saban to fire Kiffin as the team's offensive coordinator a week before the Crimson Tide played Clemson in the CFP National Championship in January 2017.

"I can save you $33 and lots of reading time by summing up the book this way," Kiffin wrote to Mars in a text message, which was shared with ESPN. "Old unnamed sources say Lane used to argue with Saban, drink alcohol and hang out with hot women. New unnamed sources say Lane gets along with Saban, doesn't drink alcohol, but still hangs out with hot women."

That’s about as Lane Kiffin of a response as you’ll ever get.

I wish he could had said something sooner because I bought and read the book, and Lane Kiffin's book report gets an A plus. Ugh, the book was horribly written.

I agree, it read like a high school girls diary. I did appreciate some of the stories about Monte, but that was about the only redeeming quality. I only paid $11 for it though on Amazon, never would have paid $33

It’s in between. Hired at FAU first, but elected to help keep coaching during Bama title run. Then Saban let him go before the championship game due to “distractions.”

I'll never worry about Kiffin leaving to Coach anywhere else! For LSU is a bona fide "Match Made in Heaven" for Lane & Louisiana! But I am worried about Hollywood luring him away. His personality, humor, mannerisms are Priceless! And that's despite him having to "tone it down, be very careful, hold back" due to how the media has falsely villainized him and the intense jealousy, fear opposing fan basses have for Lane. I can at least guaranty you this: Producers, Directors & Writers ARE currently assembling TV Commercials & Scripts tailor made + specific for Lane Kiffin to "Star" in! Kiffin's personality will be utilized perfectly in the TV promo/ad & the product/company's sales will explode! Huge Corporate Brands will fight over him, and Kiffin is going to legitimately command astronomical amounts of $$$ + Fees for his role in these TV commercials! Just wait.....they're coming!

He has to produce at LSU for a number of years to reach that status.Saban did it at LSU and Alabama over a number of years. Without Lanebeing a winning coach, he will not demand those fees or attention.
