A breastfeeding Wisconsin mother admitted to smoking meth days before her 3-week-old baby boy died, according to a criminal complaint.

The infant’s cause of death was later determined to be methamphetamine toxicity, according to authorities.

Fox 5 Vegas

He's been doing jail interviews with local news lately, and I think it's gonna come back to bite him in the arse. Can't seem to grasp sometimes the best defense is to shut the frick up.

He thought because the cops gave him a deal a long time ago that his testimony in an unrelated issue couldn't be used against him, that he had immunity forever. So then co wrote a book admitting to involvement, and they turned around and busted him because that wasn't part of his initial police interview.
Supposed to have some player availability today as well from what hunt Palmer said on his show last week. We'll see what happens I guess, I really don't know how it works

Isn't the potential life in prison a bigger issue? Or did they drop the case or something? I didn't read the article, figured this is a discussion board anyway sorry

ETA: quote from a different article

Per the AP, Chief Circuit Court Judge Christopher Sabella granted bond to Arnold and stated that prosecutors are “not there yet” in having a strong case for Arnold’s guilt. Arnold’s bail was set at $1 million

I'm all for it but I don't see Mickey going for it after Drew just glazed him on national TV about focusing on high character, good people... We'll see though maybe he's got stronger evidence of it being a bullshite charge but I think he ends up with seahawks

In short can Kiffin help Baker improve?

In short, yes.

Even if for whatever reason Lane can't articulate in a meeting room setting x's an o's of what needs to change (although I'm pretty damn sure he can and will) you would have to think lining up across from a Kiffin/Weis offense every time they practice would improve the defense somewhat as opposed to Kelly/Sloan system.

Turner was in a gold “no contact” jersey
That's absolutely horrendous. Can't believe they spent money to build that bullshite

Holy shite this triggered some long ago nostalgia. I completely forgot about that place, but you're right. Jesus can't believe that was over 20 years ago. Getting old, fast

Couldn't this also be spun as the program that really should be working hard to land him isn't and the program that could be taking it easy, as in LSU, also isn't?

1000% agree. LSU has his commitment, they shouldn't be expected to have to be continuing to push for him to keep it realistically. They are focused on this season. Nebraska would be expected to be pressing extra hard to try to get a flip. That's what it sounds like in my opinion
According to the radio shows that were at camp today it was Durham, Jones, then Berry working on RPO etc with Leavitt. But they said Jones went 1st in the individual drills. So, who knows. I think Jones will be REALLY good though
But flip it, if they go 3 and out, or have a turnover and end up losing by 3 or something imagine the outrage.

Well I mean, I guess there would t be much outrage considering it's Akron, but in theory whoever came up with this idea would be instantly fired

1 for 6 in season openers since 2019.

Lane Kiffin compiled a 5-1 record in season openers during his six-year tenure at Ole Miss (2020–2025).

quote:

2020: Loss vs. #5 Florida (35–51)

2021: Win vs. Louisville (43–24)

2022: Win vs. Troy (28–10)

2023: Win vs. Mercer (73–3)

2024: Win vs. Furman (76–0)

2025: Win vs. Georgia State (63–7)

Granted Clemson will be better than most of those wins, maybe comparable to Louisville? But def not gonna be on the level of a #5 Florida team.

I feel pretty good about our chances
