LSU interim head coach Frank Wilson spoke with reporters after practice on Thursday and revealed that quarterback Garrett Nussmeier aggravated an injury in practice and is probable for Saturday vs. Arkansas.
quote:

"Probable, but a little nagging injury reoccurred with Garrett Nussmeier today," Wilson said.

"I think he's probable, but it's a little bit concerning, something we need to monitor and continue to watch as we head into the game."
Wilson also provided some other injury updates heading into Arkansas:

Linebacker Whit Weeks will be a game-time decision, and wide receiver Aaron Anderson and offensive lineman Carius Curne are good to go.

Needs to just opt out, it's better for him and LSU at this point, there is nothing to gain.

Let’s see if he’s on the sideline for the game. If he’s no where to be found, we have our answer.

Ill be honest, just based on how ive seen Nuss react all season like a whiny baby I wouldnt doubt it if this is just a hissy fit and hes faking something.

I don't think he was ever 100% this season. His throws didn't have the same zip all year. Partly because he was on his backfoot scared of the rush. They were ok when he stepped into one, but not his normal zip as last season. I hope he sits the rest of the season and heals up for the combine.

Maybe it's time to retire that number!

Oh, Van Buren is the answer to our QB problem. Because he can run right? 1 yard against Alabama and 7 against A&M. Give me a break. If he's our answer, we're screwed.

Oh BIIIL, so short sighted. Van Buren is the answer to our QB problem — YES.
However, we still have a colossal problem that is our offensive line which will not be fixed this year, and also horrible play calling as well. So yes, VB is good enough to be successful at QB but no he is not the end all be all messiah that will resurrect our offense all by himself.

Catering to nuss all year cost us a playoff birth. He should have sat for three games after Clemson and healed up. Period.

“We” have an o line that can’t stop a cold. “We” were never going to the playoffs.

We just don't have an offensive line to protect him.

Wilson has already said it is not a Nuss only problem. Put Nuss in like Pittsburgh with a typical great defense, run game, offensive line, and he is tough and fits that style perfectly. Not a Steeler fan but I think he will be fine. 1st round.

Doing the fake limp in practice now too lol. Must know Van Buren is taking his job.

While I'm ready to see him go, a fully healthy Nuss behind a good OL is still an NFL caliber QB. He has the arm, and has legit straight line speed if he ever wanted to use it. Again though, Nuss needs structure to be successful. And that currently isn't LSU.

Nuss could take a shite and get put on IR.

With the vitriol shown toward Nuss and all the players/recruits seeing it, we should not expect another player to stay for their entire college career. LSU fans don’t deserve that type of loyalty because they will crap on you the moment you are struggling.

Why is Frank even trying to play NUss if he’s truly hurt let him sit. He has underperformed all year and gets injuries on every play, so let him sit in the locker room and watch on TV

Because you may have to pass to win the game if you get behind and MVB is a career 54% completion passer.

But MVB can run and it’s amazing what
a mobile qb can do with a terrible offensive line, if they can run!!!!

67% this year, hoss. And can run for first downs.
