That change should have been made after the La Tech game.

If this changed happened 2 months ago, everyone still has a job

Utter nonsense! The QB doesn't improve the OL. The QB doesn't give LSU an effective pass rusher. Van Buren didn't even complete 50% of his passes and had a turnover

Several drops that should have been caught. Also his passes were downfield, as opposed to Mr Dump Off behind and at the line of scrimmage to get his receivers killed.

Actually they can. When the defense knows the QB is a statue, they can rush full out without worrying about losing contain. Now they have to respect a QB that can scramble.

Keep the bus in the garage. Let the other guy continue to get reps. He may end up being the guy next year. This one is basically done.

Holding the team hostage because of a commitment to one player is criminal malpractice. A number of coaches have their jobs if a change is made sooner.

I may be wrong but I thought the officials were only supposed to do their own review for scores and change of possession. Why did the booth shut us down 3 times in 5 plays with MVB?

Because the SEC office and replay official are in Birmingham

You can read the Instant Replay Manual. If they think a play has a "direct competitive impact" they can review it

Nuss can’t win another game.

MVB needs to start the remaining games to see what he has and if a portal QB is necessary for 26. Right now I believe any new HC will want to bring in another experienced QB. Nuss lacks the ability to lead this OFF. He can't get in the play in, get us to the LOS & set, and get the darn snap off....especially inside the red zone. it is embarrassing and unseat, enough. Go with MVB and generate some momentum going into the off season and beyond.

Of course a portal QB is necessary.

New coach is definitely going get a portal qb, he may be bringing the guy he’s got now.

If you don't have a Dual Threat quarterback in today's world of college football! You are limiting yourself offensively and giving the opposing team's defense an extra leg up on defending your offense. Nussmeier is not a dual threat quarterback!

Nuss can absolutely hurt you two ways: pics and sacks.

Nuss was supposed to be the Heisman front runner, then this OL got him killed. Van Buren couldn’t beat out Blake Shapen , LOL. Better hit the portal for a QB.

MVB was a true freshman that started the final 8 games

Still babying him. It’s time for someone to say that he’s just not good.

The defense, for the most part, played very well. Nuss handicapped the offense for 3 quarters!

Nuss went from poetential top 10 pick to 5th rounder +!!! He plays scared, no confidence, and looks lost!

Even as a free agent pick he will be cut later.

7th rounder*

The present offensive climate requires a DT QB, the defenses have become to sophisticated for the pro set type QB. You must have a QB that can throw and run when you need to. Facts. MVB needs to start the rest of the season.

Bet Nuss routinely checks into wrong play and misreads the rpo.

This should’ve happened several games ago

NUSS is bad too slow of feet and slow of brain. That doesn't work in todays football, a QB must be mobile.

Translation: He's a statue and our oline sucks. We had no chance with that combination......all season.

All of the "nuss sucks, hes too slow, stupid". Answer this then. How did a slow, dumb qb throw for 4000 yards last year in the SEC?

Got a better question for ya:

How does a quarterback sack HIMSELF?!?

Nuss did.
user avatar
RicardoGrande694 months
600 passing attempts. That’s how. He finished 50th in yards per attempt.

Most simpeltons aren’t capable of understanding that throwing 600 times for 4,000 yards isn’t that great. Just means you got way more chances to gain yards.

When you add in he had 4 NFL OLmen, 2 NFL WRs, he did pretty average with elite tools.
