Multiple outlets are reporting that former LSU wide receiver Kayshon Boutte was arrested Thursday in Baton Rouge after he allegedly bet on his team and others while he was underage. Per WAFB:
quote:

Boutte is accused of creating an online betting account under a fictitious name and then placing illegal bets while he was still under the age of 21 and not legally allowed to gamble.

His efforts led to more than $500,000 in winnings, with the vast majority of that money being used to place additional bets, investigators allege. Boutte, who is now 21, is currently listed on the roster of the New England Patriots. He played in five games for the Patriots last season. He is accused of placing nearly 9,000 illegal wagers including two bets on at least one LSU football game that he played in, his arrest warrant states.

Remember how upset he was at times during the season and was pouting on the sidelines. Now it's making a lot more sense.

Yep, just lost all his NIL money that day.

His 50% effort last season is 100% explained in his point shaving

Care to explain? I’m not supporting Boutte’s actions in any way but the only two LSU related bets he placed was on himself to score against FSU and over 82.5 yards against LSU. He lost both but that’s not point shaving is it? At least he bet on himself to succeed no matter how dumb he was to go about it.

What a complete dumbass and embarrassment to the state of Louisiana. He should be banned from ever stepping foot anywhere on LSU Campus ever again.

They can certainly not bet against themselves with a fake ID and intentionally throw games though.

I don’t think that is what he did. It said he bet on himself scoring at least one touchdown and for lsu to win. Now if it comes out he bet against lsu I’m with you .

He probably doesn't even know who Pete Rose is. They don't teach kids anything anymore. Just get them through and let someone else deal with them.
