LSU Loses Commitment From Cornerback Jaylen Bell

The takes on this forum are insane. When a 3 star DB commits, the sky is falling. When a 3 star DB de commits, he is a selfish kid chasing NIL money. The truth is he is an out of state kid who committed to the previous defensive staff. Now that the new staff is in place he was more than likely “processed.” 2 months ago the #1 safety in the 2025 class was not making visits to LSU. We are recruiting at a high level with the chance at landing the #1 class. The kid probably saw the writing on the wall, and decided to go somewhere else. I truly wish him all the best.

"Respect my Decision" .... only if he "respects my decision" not to care about his decision.

He was the first commit for the 2025 class and the lowest rated. This was not surprising. Best of luck to him, but this is not a big loss. LSU is in god shape for several more highly sought after DBs.

Did he imply God made a mistake or that God was not involved or he was not listening to God when he made his "Commitment" to LSU?

I do wish these kids would just take ownership when they change their minds. I doubt any higher power has any say in the matter. Man gives into temptation freely enough on his own.

Who is telling these guys to write ‘respect my decision’? Not only have they not earned anything yet, they become another name on the long list of those we make fun of.

The kid is a 3 * and 150 lbs. Not sure how that will work in the SEC. wish him well at FSU.

Don’t blame your inability to make a commitment on God. That’s just being pretentious.

God couldn’t care less about where a kid plays football.

Not shocking, he has been committed since 2022. Kids tend to change their minds as they get older. Good luck to him.

He dropped in the 2025 On3 recruiting rankings from being the #43 CB to being the #55 CB. Not that this was a deciding factor from either him or from LSU, but LSU already has the #7 CB committed for 2025.
