I saw him perform in Baton Rouge in the late 50's at some kind of entertainment facility out on Plank Road. The place was like a lounge or bar with a large dance floor and a lot of pinball machines. I don't remember the name of the place. There was no stage. He was sitting there at the piano on the dance floor doing his show with everyone just standing around listening.
