Four-star wide receiver Joseph Stone announced that he has de-committed from LSU.

The 6’0, 180-pound receiver from Fairburn, Ga., had been committed to the Tigers since July of 2022 but has reopened his recruitment and holds more than 50 offers.

His departure leaves LSU with 24 verbal commitments for the class of 2024.

Go ahead and shop around for a better NIL deal…when you are ready to come back we’ll be glad to have you…if your scholarship is not filled.

WR is the one position we should never have to leave this state to be loaded at WR. We shouldn’t have to further than 50 miles from Baton Rouge for that matter.

Louisiana as a state has more than enough receiving talent most years to make up for this.

NIL makes recruits think short term and not long term. I guess that's ok as there is no guarantee there is a long term. Far from it. For some, it's better to take a little more cash now than to bet on yourself for the big money later. That said...WR. Dime a dozen. Especially at 180!
