Elite five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore announced Thursday night that he has de-committed from LSU.

The 6-0, 175-pounder from Duncanville, Texas, committed to LSU in August of 2023 but revealed this past March that he was 'narrowing his focus' to LSU, Texas, Ohio State, and Oregon.

Moore is the Nation's No. 1 receiver for the class of 2025 and the No. 1 overall recruit in Texas.

LSU now has eleven verbal commitments for the class of 2025 with Moore's departure.

And there it is…. Respek ma decision. as soon as you commit and things don’t go your way you will be hitting the transfer portal anyway. Everyone can pretend all they want but CFB is not and may never the same again.

THERE IS NO REAL COMMITMENT UNTIL THEY SIGN THE frickING PAPERS! i don't give 2 fricks about what any recruits do or say until they send in the signed papers

It’s hard to get emotionally invested and be a fan of any of these kids. Even kids currently on the team when nobody knows if the my will be playing for us or against us 6 months from now.

That’s the main thing that’s wrong with college football. I know it’s the same for other collegiate sports but college football sets the standard for college sports. I hope the new EA Sports college football game, which will probably be the newest Madden made over with college players was worth it. Because players being paid for likeness started this nonsense. Instead of figuring something out when it came to amateurs being paid, it went straight to The Wild West.

Why don’t you respect your commitment?

I don’t know who started this “respect my decision” horse shite but it was ridiculous then and it’s still just as ridiculous now. Just admit it’s about the money and move on, because that’s the truth.

I would rather him “de -commit” now than flip on signing day. Honestly, Texas probably outbid us.

This comes as no surprise here. It would be nice to have him but we will be fine without him. This pay for play BS is over the top.

“Despite this decision, I will not be considering any recruitment offers” I assume this is code for already being committed to another school and it’s only going to be a week or so before I commit to them and ask everyone to respect that decision as well.

So so surprised. The game has changed and lost the pageantry that fueled the passion that was college football.

It’s all about the $$&& now. Sad.

The game has certainly changed, but it was always about the $, at least in the past couple decades.
It just wasn't talked about openly.

2019 was the last real year in college football. That was the pinnacle. At least it was ours.
