spent the whole night before spiking the oranges with vodka using syringes. Then spent the game sucking them dry and tossing them in the end.One of the greatest nights in Tiger stadium ever. The fog rolling in the 4th qtr was like the scene from The Ten Commandments when that green fog rolled in killing all the first born of the Egyptians. It was wicked looking but just added to the ambiance of that night.
Brian Kelly was good at rebuilding programs and bringing them to a point they could compete for championships. He did this at 3 separate schools in a row. He did it in 2022 at LSU. So there's no question he knew how to coach at one time.I have no idea what happened after that. It's as if he thought he could just coast to a playoff berth with no work. You would have thought 2022 would have energized him and even 2023 with the Heisman year of JD5 knowing all he needed to do was get the defensive side solidified which he did but then disengaged from the program from what I heard. Never seen anything like it.Ruin your whole legacy because you didn't want to work hard?

1. Curly Hallman last year. Was the beginning of the end of losing seasons.

2.1979- Unranked LSU beat #2 USC on the field even though the score said otherwise and lost to #1 Alabama 3-0 at home . And fans stayed the entire game and cheered win or lose for the Tigers. Loved those days when LSU didn't have the national talent yet still played hard and played with nationally ranked teams teams they had no reason competing with.

3. 1986 Final Four run with a 6'7" forward playing center. Highest seeded team to ever get to Final 4 at that time.

4.1991 - the first of many and gave us hope that we could be a player in the collegiate baseball scene.

You can give any excuse you want. If you boo an LSU senior you are a dirtbag. And much worse as far as I’m concerned.
Mcmahon could have played Nwoko 30 minutes last night and crushed Alcorn early. Big deal. What would that have proved. I'm sure once we get into the meat of the schedule against better competition his minutes will go up so why wear him down now. I like the fact he wanted to see what the rest of his squad could do. And the fact that you can't say ANYTHING positive about this team shows you how mentally unstable and miserable a lot of these "fans' are. I too want to see this team against better competition but dissing UCF and UNO as cupcakes is stupid on it's face. And not recognizing that in basketball sometimes lesser competition can hang around for a while shows how little basketball most of these buffoons watch. I haven't seen ANYONE saying this is a great team or they will challenge for the SEC championship. What they do say is that it is the best team he has had.It is the best PG since Waters. Nwoko is developing into an offensive force in the middle much quicker than we thought. We have some other talented bigs who can play inside and outside. We go to the FT line a lot and are scoring much batter with more assists than last few years including rebounding better. Defense needs to be more consistent but we did hold UCF and UNO to 58 and 68 points so it's not like they've never played defense.
LSU has played 2 decent teams so far. UCF in exhibition game and UNO. Held both to 58 and 68 points. They did not show up defensively last night and should be criticized for that but a lot of these higher ranked teams have struggled with supposed cupcakes on their roster early. How else do you explain Auburn needing overtime to beat #288 ranked Bethune Cookman.Do they suck? Well they lost to #2 Houston by 1 point. So although I believe LSU needs to be consistent in their defense I also understand that it's basketball and a team can get hot like Alcorn did combined with LSU playing uninspired defense although LSU did pick it up the last 5 minutes of the game when it needed to. We will see what we have soon enough after Thanksgiving. But to troll Mcmahon because Alcorn played with us for 3/4 of the game, but never in control, is a little over the top.
Someone explain the Y and the L. NIL back then was probably a free lunch.
The issue is most of the posters on here have no reading comprehension skills whatsoever. Lots of good teams “struggle “ early in games. Some struggle the entire game. Like Auburn needing overtime to beat #288 Bethune Cookman or Arkansas beating 2-3 Winthrop last night by 1 point. No one is saying this team will be in the top echelon of the SEC. Just saying they look better than they have his first 3 years. If you attack that you are nothing more than an emotionally stunted hack. If you want LSU to lose so they will fire McMahon then you aren’t an LSU fan. It really that simple. Let the season play out and the chips fall where they may but you should be pulling for these players. Period.
Say you’ve never watched college basketball without saying you’ve never watched college basketball.
I’m sorry but I don’t get the McKinnon thing. He hasn’t hit any 3’s last few games and is a liability on defense. Almost like a Bailey clone.
Auburn had to go to overtime to beat #288 Bethune Cookman. Do they suck? Some of you sound like you’ve never watched any basketball.
Well Auburn had to go to overtime to beat #288 Bethune Colman. It happens in basketball.
Just stating that UCF wasn’t necessarily a cupcake as far as judging how good this team may be.
UCF and UNO may end up being pretty good teams. UNO may win their conference. Schedule gets better from thanksgiving to Dec 17. Will find out a lot but UNO and UCF were good wins.

With this ridiculous fan base does anyone have the "chest" for the job. Only losing 2 games in the SEC is incredibly difficult and it's only getting harder with NIL and portal. I believe they will eventually expand the playoffs to 16 teams and that will open the door to some 3 loss teams getting in but there are 3 loss SEC teams that will be better than 2 loss Big10 and Big 12 teams That's a fact and it isn't about could one team beat another. It's about can one team go through an SEC schedule and beat another. I think Indiana is a very good team and could probably beat most of the SEC teams in a playoff game but could they go through an SEC schedule and do that? You look at a team like Arkansas with an elite offense and has lost 6 games by one score. They could have conceivably beat anyone they've played. Now go look at the 2-8 teams in the Big 10 and Big 12 or ACC. Can you say the same for them? No.
He is clueless. LSU is absolutely a better job. Maybe not this minute but for the future. And with NIL and the talent we have that would stay if he became the HC it wouldn't take any 2-3 years.
He was not a bad fit. From what I can see he was just not committed. I still cannot fathom how he could come into this shite show and win the SEC West and beat bama his first year and then just pull an Orgeron and disengage. The guy won everywhere he coached and was always a rebuild where he was hired and always brought them to championship level. You can't do that at 3 schools in a row and suck or not know what you are doing or not be committed. Orgeron did the same thing after 2019. Good fit or bad fit if you aren't committed it will show.
Those days are over. With NIL there will be so many teams that can field a championship team that it will be difficult to win multiple championships much less make the playoffs every other year unless they expand to 16 teams.
Anyone wanting Orgeron as HC is brain dead.
They beat La Tech 27-24. They barely beat Delaware and Missouri St and got rolled by Toledo 45-21 and FIU 25-6. I think coming off the Ark win and with Frank going to have his boys playing for him I look for a blowout. Not to mention MVB will not be coming out the game unless they decide to give JJ some reps. Remember, in the players eyes they are playing for Frank to get the head coaching job whether realistic or not.
