Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports
LSU sophomore forward Mwani Wilkinson is entering the transfer portal and is the 11th and final player to depart the team since Will Wade was fired.

There are now no remaining scholarship players from this year’s team on LSU’s roster.

Wilkinson, a former four-star recruit from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas, Nev., started in 30 games for the Tigers this past season, averaging 4 points and 3 rebounds per game.

Might I remind us that WW had exceptional talent and never had anything to show for it. Good buyer/recruiter of players. Terrible X’s and O’s Guy

He was a decent coach but certainly had tons of pure talent. College basketball in general is simply out of control.

Just wait and see McMahon will get the players he needs to kick arse and all the players that entered the transfer portal some will be back with LSU because that will be there best option and the bans won't be that bad McMahon will have the basketball team kicking arse next year

Will Wade caused this entire debacle and is probably behind the scenes telling the players to leave and possibly even helping them find aother team.

LSU probably knows that everyone of them received improper payments to come to LSU and with the FBI and NCAA digging so much, I don’t want anybody on the team that will cause them to have to forfeit future victories. Better to break ties at this point.

Mojo that is a good point.

“ averaging 4 points and 3 rebounds per game.” How did this clown start 30 games?

Big mistake if he does leave will get more playing time if he stays with LSU than he will going somewhere else

Has this ever happened before? The ENTIRE team is gone??!! Talk about a rebuild- it's as if we are just starting a basketball program...wow! Truly building from the ground up!

The entire Evansville University Men’s Basketball team was killed in a plane crash in 1977.

It's important to remember that firing Will Wade was about more than just basketball. Keeping Will Wade was a threat to the football program due "loss of institutional control" allegations.

People don't understand this man. LSU will never risk the football program for a basketball coach.

The NCAA grouped Basketball with Football for the very reason to get Will Wade. I wish I had never heard Will Wade’s fukking name. I am sure LSU Football will get a minor slap on the wrist now that LSU has done what they had to do with Will Wade but had they not the NCAA would have gone after the Football program. Let’s lay blame where it truly belongs and that is with the Joe Aleva Administration. Aleva gave us Will Wade. Aleva was in charge while the Title IX crap was going on. Aleva let the Women’s Basketball program twist in the wind for years. Aleva was the biggest piece if shite masquerading as an Athletic Director in the entire country. Scott Woodward was hired by big money to come in and clean house and clean up Aleva’s fricking mess. This exactly what he is doing and he is doing exactly what he was hired to do.

Just another reason for me to be done with basketball. All about the individual, no team, no loyalty

I SirWinston. This is a statement from the players, backing up why they have already said, that WW is their guy. They feel betrayed and their loyalty is more to WW than LSU.

Yes, keeping Will Wade around this long was a huge mistake.
