Report: Middleman Identified In Will Wade FBI Wire Tap Conversation With Christian Dawkins

Yahoo Sports is reporting that the middleman that Will Wade was talking about during a wiretapped conversation with Christian Dawkins was Baton Rouge native Shannon Forman.

The report states that LSU freshman Javonte Smart considered Forman as a "mentor."

Documents viewed by Yahoo Sports show a link between Forman and Christian Dawkins, the aspiring agent and recently convicted felon whom Wade was talking to on the call that has ultimately led to his suspension.

In a wiretapped 2017 phone call with Dawkins first reported by Yahoo Sports earlier this month, Wade makes mention of "Shannon" as the intermediary for his "strong-arse offer" for a recruit. Multiple sources have confirmed to Yahoo Sports that the reference is to Forman, who has been labeled both a trainer and coach of current LSU standout Smart — the recruit in question on the wiretap. Nothing to see here. LSU knew about this person before they cleared Smart. If this is all Yahoo, Dawkins, Forde, etc. have on Will Wade from the criminal case, this is actually really good news. Either LSU/NCAA has already interviewed this individual when they cleared Smart or he declined to talk them because he is under no obligation to do so. Regardless, they cleared Smart and didn't fire Wade.

Oh, could you image the shite that will come out if/when we get to the Final Four... or the Championship. Yahoo would give a left nut to have LSU make it to the championship game so they can try to destroy all that is good the day before. Any and everything will get dropped on these kids. All you have to do is check the parking area outside of athletic dorms all over the country. Looks like a new car dealership. LSU is being targeted because they have been one of the little dogs in college basketball. If a minimum of 25 schools are involved, why are we only hearing about LSU? Why do people like Dick Vitale go scorched earth on LSU, but make excuses for wrongdoing at places like Kansas and North Carolina?
