My wife and I have watched season 1 episodes 1-4 and we're not too hooked. Should we continue?

The scene where she dumps him was genius. He is explaining what happened with him and SC&P and it all mirrors exactly what happened between the two of them.

It took me 3 tries to get into this show but now that I did i think its great.
Don is such an enigma....he is a great character and a complete POS.

2 things bug me....
1. Why is pete campbell the only one that is showing age with his receding hairline?
2. Why is Sylvia and Dr. Rosens apartment that is a floor above dons so much shittier?
