They tried to give Berry a series when the game was still competitive, he was lost from a blocking stand point. Was supposed to be the lead blocker for Leavitt on a designed run and Sam literally had to push him out of the way because he was just standing there lost.

What did the SEC expect the LA Attorney General to do, stay in the lawsuit without? The SEC has no claim against the AG.

I think Clark is likely good, but not 100% clear of hurdles.
Both are big pieces. Without them, the backcourt is thin.
Both could have issues as the season progress based on appeals (assuming preliminary injunctions are granted).

I'm sorry you are struggling to understand the language in the SEC's rule and the reality that Wright and Harris were different than other players on SEC rosters (it's an arbitrary distinction, but a distinction nonetheless). Sorry you are struggling to understand the SEC is not going after our international guys because it impacts other schools and other sports. But don't let things like words in a rule change your narrative.

None had players that had been on a preseason roster. Notice the rule explicitly avoids NFL minicamps.
There have been several articles on how the SEC intentionally left off international leagues from the list provided in the rule, so as not to impact international players. You can argue with me all you want, but you still will be wrong.

The SEC rule actually goes out of its way to avoid saying that international players are ineligible. Largely because several of the SEC schools have international basketball players, tennis players, etc.

There is no "hearing" per se. They are just waiting on a decision from the NCAA.

If they are eligible, then everybody is being very quiet about it. I've heard of decisions being made in the last few weeks on other international players (at other programs), but not on any of ours. In fairness, the NCAA doesn't publicly announce those decisions, so if the school and player kept it quiet, then they could.

Doesn’t on paper mean they are currently technically eligible? The internationals are the opposite of that, there is no current decision from the NCAA and on all but the two younger bigs, I expect them to need litigation based on other recent decisions from the NCAA.

The others seem to be eligible "on paper", but still need the final say from the NCAA, which of course is dragging their feet because it is LSU and Will Wade.

That is not 100% accurate. Skyy Clark was originally part of the California case, but withdrew (voluntarily dismissed his claims) from that case and joined the Kentucky case, Wells vs. NCAA (Jefferson County Circuit Court). A preliminary injunction has been granted in that case and the NCAA lost its request for emergency appeal. So as of today, Skyy Clark has a preliminary injunction and there will be no emergency appeal of that decision. Given that we are in September, there is a good chance that the Kentucky state court won't have a trial on the merits until after April 2027.
Clark should be good.
ETA. News reports are a little murky as to next steps. Could have some hurdles left to clear.

Disagree. If he has another job waiting, he will likely agree to a reduced lump sum payment. That's fairly common in this context, Miles did the same thing when he took the Kansas job.

The decision not to roster Harris and Wright was to a large degree influenced by the CFP's threat to not consider teams with players that had played in an NFL Training Camp.
Don't have that issue with basketball because the NCAA Selection Committee is part of the NCAA - unlike the CFP which is a standalone entity.
