Haven’t watch Houston very much, have you.

This is the way they play. Not pretty, but they’re playing for a national title.

ETA. You’re reference to “plays” and “street bal” gives some idea of how much basketball you actually watch period.

except that MM has made the tourney multiple times

Yeah but he’s only made the tournament 4 out of 10 years (giving him the benefit of the covid year). His record both before and since coming to LSU against P5 teams is not good.

won multiple tourney games

You need a fact check on this one?

ETA. Technically correct 2 NCAA tournament wins in 10 years of coaching at Murray St and LSU.
Then he'll make about as much as MM will next season....

He is the lowest paid coach in the conference on an annual basis.

If we are rating this in terms of 1-10, I would give this a solid 6.

Nothing like a D- to start things off...

not really. Have you seen the threads today bashing Mulkey? WE got about as much out of this season as possible without a PG or rim protector. Not to mention, we just went up against a team that beat South Carolina by 20+ points and is the overall #1. These people are insane. She is a hell of a coach

You’re missing the point, beta, it wasn’t the same people that pushed for Wade to be rehired. The straw man is that the same people were pushing for both.

Man, you don’t pass up an opportunity to sing the company line, do you? That’s a very beta thing to do. Show some independent thought.
He’s trying to build a straw man.
I would gladly take Will Wade back. Don’t really have an opinion on Mulkey, because I’m generally not interested in WBB. It seems like anybody arguing for her to be fired after three elite eight appearances is fairly unrealistic.

I still have a hard time believing that you are actually an older man, given the way you bleed all over this board. Serious question, are you a liberal? Most alpha conservatives don't cry over everything all day, every

Most conservatives I know believe in merit, based on results. You seem to believe in the everybody gets a trophy generation. The fact that you champion a guy who has the absolute worst record in any three year stretch of LSU basketball tells me that you’re anything but an alpha or a conservative. You are bleeding heart liberal who doesn’t like to deal with objective facts and results.

The objective facts and results tell us that McMahon is not the guy. There are simply no objective facts about the last three years that says he can put this program in the position to be a consistent winner. That is based on objective fact, not on some subjective feeling that you may have.

Let's just be glad he not sucking off Matt McMahon during the broadcast like he does with every post on here

Whatever it takes to keep Scott happy.

The Mcmen don’t agree for now give them 10 months and they will and use it as another excuse

This is 100% true.
What is the excuse going to be this year when we miss the tournament, again?
Oh look another basketball expert. This is the guy that was pissed the Wade replaced Johnny Jones and now he's championing the coach with the worst three year stint in LSU basketball history. Look at the bright side, he's making Jones look good.
There was nothing in that interview that projected any level of confidence.

It was a 12 minute interview where he was given softball after softball, and it still never felt like he had any level confidence in himself.

ETA. It doesn’t even sound like he thinks he can get us to the tournament.
quote:

You gotta love McMahon being hesitant to guarantee LSU is going to make the NCAA in year 4 while Pear is out here guns blazing and telling the pack they’re going to win immediately

^^^^^^^^^^

This is the problem. The guys that win at this level have a certain competitive edge and aggression. McMahon simply does not have it. He seems like a great person, but he does not have the personality it takes to win at this level, especially at a school where basketball has to fight for resources.
