Huge step back in utility compared to the Gateway project for the sake of something that sounded cool IMO

We're going back to their DVD plan.
That was killed like 2 years ago. Redbox tried to buy that segment as a last ditch move.

Dude has been completely wrong about the transition from BK to Lane and from Mcloser to Wade. Can’t really take anything he says seriously anymore
He was a complete mess in the Kelly job hunt too.

and Moscona was dead wrong.
He’ll find some way to take a victory parade regardless.

What I don't understand about the Moscona haters they apparently listen to him a lot but at the same time hate listening to him. Seems like he lives rent free in their heads. We're lucky sports fans in that we have many sources for information. A different take is just a click away. If you hate him quit listening to him. Problem solved.
I listened to him years ago.
I don’t need to listen to know he’s doing the same schtick just based on comments here.

Please understand, he doesn't have a choice in that. It's his job. His boss told him to do it, so he has to do it
No one hated on Charles Hanigriff when he threw ads.
A lot of the hate was from him personally enriching himself with the adds. First it was Gamecoin he heavily invested in, pumped it up on the show, and cashed out before the bubble burst.
Now it’s him ditching a loyal sponsor of years for a competitor he just so happens to be a co-owner of.
He’s quite knowledgeable and passionate about LSU sports.
His issues are how insufferably smug he can get.
He always HAS to be the smartest and most in the loop person in the room, and sometimes picks a hill to die on, to the point of calling any listener/viewer with a different opinion idiots.
Then when it goes wrong, he pretends it never happened.
He obviously uses TD for his market research of what the community is thinking or wants to hear, but denies ever looking at it. He barely even recognizes TD’s existence. But there seems to be some sort of back door deal because many negative Moscona threads get anchored. Attacking other journalists, local or otherwise is kosher however.

Unfortunately, that asshat probably does know the difference and he means that the same people that are paying for all of this should be squeezed(taxed) even more.
That’s how I read his comments as well.
re: Can anyone remember a time when s/one hired a coach when technically it wasn’t ever open?

I’m literally just asking if this is something that occasionally happens or is this potentially a first
There’s nothing to “let go.”
Outside of the Final Four run in 2006 as a wide eyed freshman I’ve never been invested in MBB. MM obviously had to go but honestly didn’t care either way.
I’m asking from a historical angle.

Was it at the same time?
I thought Skip did it when he ascended to AD, after announcing his coaching retirement like nearly a year before.

I’m not insinuating anything was done improperly or unprofessionally in the process.
I just can’t think of another time in a major sport where the separation/hiring was the same announcement .
Anyone with better memory can chime in?

So to recap, people familiar with the game still takes a little under 4 hours.
Then let’s get a bunch of people who have never seen it, disallow and support, and go surprised Pikachu face when basically none of them can come close to the replayed timeframe.
Bet there weren’t too many catered lunches with the study.

bullshite. My dad grew up in the 60's in north baton rouge and it wasn't the way it is now for sure.
The area between downtown and LSU isnt near north Baton Rouge though.

Also it would kill recruiting.
Recruiting? Hell just think of the team distraction going into the Sweet 16?
TBF that for an airport of its size, the TSA area is massive. They can be half staffed and it would be adequate.

Given Down’s isn’t inheritable, no, it isn’t.
It’s been talked about forever. But no, it has never been “it ran out of money” that just never emerged.

It would have at least spared you from having to hear “I am directly beneath, the enemy’s scrotum.”
