LSU signee Christian Cairo was all set to head to LSU but then everything changed on Tuesday.
Cairo, a shortstop from Calvary Christain in Clearwater, Fla, was meeting with head coach Paul Mainieri and scheduling his freshman year classes when he had to leave the room to take a phone call.
That phone call was the Cleveland Indians, who notified him that they were selected him in the fourth round of the MLB Draft and offering him a $955,000 signing bonus.
Cairo then came back into the room and told Mainieri that he was going pro.
