Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports
Five-star QB Arch Manning out of Louisiana is the No. 3 overall player in the 2023 class and one of the most sought after recruits ever. So, according to Arch, what is his current mindset on his college decision?...

“Wide open.”

I know the family very well and they say he has narrowed his choices between Southern and Grambling.

Baw going to Clemson or Tejas. His family is 3 generations of LSU hate. Plus, the ACC offers no competition and the big 12 offers no defense.

If Big 12 offers no defense, wouldnt that benefit him and his numbers?

Yes, Baw. He puts up superstar numbers and gets the $30mil bonus for being drafted at number 1.

UVA? I guess it makes sense. He is from Uptown.

It's not wide open, and I'm loving Walker Howard for the future, so this doesn't bother me at all.

That looks like 4 words, Larry. You shortened it to 2.

I say it's three words with one used twice.

“I’m” is a contraction which counts as two words technically. So 5 words but 4 different words.

If he doesn't come here, fine, just don't go to another school in the SEC West.

He could start day 1 at NC

So could any average HS QB.

What else is he going to say? It was a stupid question to ask him at this time.

Is Tennessee not on his board at all?

Man y'all are some sensitive little girls about this kid. Just a simple question wondering if there's a reason.

Just don't go to Bama.

I wouldn't bother. He's wanting to be the starter when he arrives and he won't be doing that at LSU.

LSU could sign a contract that he will be the starter the day he walks on campus and he still is not going to LSU. I will say it again and again over and over. COOPER MANNINGS SON IS NEVER GOING TO ATTEND LSU.

Yes he would.

UNC. Cooper is a big fan. Plus, family loves Mack.

I think he ends up at Texas. Depth chart will be way too attractive to lead such a large and expensive program.

Who will be Texas's coach by then?

I’m giving Alabama more of a shot at him than I used to. He could have the title success that none of his uncles or grandpa had in college. But, like his uncles, he’ll go where grandpa tells him to go.

That is absolutely untrue. Go watch "The Book of Manning" concerning Payton's recruitment. Archie let Payton decide where he went. Eli wanted to go to Ole Miss.

“The Book of Manning”? Sounds totally unbiased. Archie definitely guided the NFL choices by his sons but I’m supposed to believe that he didn’t do the same in college? Archie held the Saints back and has selfishly meddled before. If he’s going to travel to every game, it’s going to be at a school that’s easily accessible to N.O.

fightntiger32: Cooper also went to Ole Miss. so why did Payton choose Tennessee? seems like a poor chose. Archie no doubt had a hand in every decision.
