This Guy Pushed & Removed Dancing Students From University Of Florida's Graduation
by Larry LeoMay 8, 2018
The University of Florida was not going to let graduating students dance or celebrate once they received their diplomas this past week. So they had this dude remove anyone having fun, like it was Footloose...

I have low respect for for the students who danced when clearly shown not to, less respect for the guy who basically manhandled them...
BUT I HAVE ZERO RESPECT for the University President for apologizing.
You are weak and are part of what's damaging society today. Don't give idiots an inch.

Let's also be real and realize that the Faculty Marshal or some administrator told him to enforce the rule. Put yourself in his position. What would you do? It appears to me that he enforced it with as little physical violence and lack of emotion as possible. Perhaps they should have a separate ceremony for those who want to juke and show out. Let the students/parents organize it how they will and go for it.

It's racist to not allow people to make a mockery of the graduation ceremony?

Lets be real. This is a black thing. Just like black families who wildly applaud despite being asked to hold it to the end. No fricks given, they do it anyway..and this is at all graduations. I understand the celebration, but it is disruptive to the whole event. Still the guy doing this restraining is a jackass.

Why do these students think they get to waste everyone's time with this self-centered attention grabbing act? They probably literally had several thousand graduates to get through. Walk the frick to the right and let the next person up so this doesn't take 6 hours. Its just inconsiderate but if you say they should act like decent people you are suddenly a racist.

Smithers, is that the young accounting major we hired dancing around his graduation stage like a disrespectful imbecile?
I'm afraid it is, Sir.
On his first day, place him in the orientation room and introduce him to the hounds. We'll see how fast and fancy he can move as he races them to the unemployment line.

I say the same. Why do black people go to public white institutions and expect them to respect their traditions and heritage as if they were at a Historically Black University. They could have spent their tens to hundreds of thousands at florida a&M, Bethune cookman, Southern or Grambling. Why spend money and play football, basketball, track and other sports where you are not respected.

They have etiquette rules, but they allow their students to stroll as long as its not excessive.

Another part of the whole "look at me" culture we live in now. Jesus Christ just shake the presidents hand and accept your diploma with a smile on your face and walk off the stage. Act like you just busted your arse for 4-5 years and your ready for the next step in life. Not some dancing douches looking for Instagram likes.

I'm all in favor of being excited and celebrating the big moment of graduation. But please, wait until you're off the stage to do so. There's hundreds of people in the ceremony, and it's already long enough. When I walked across, I waved and looked to my family who were cheering, and I proceeded to walk across, that didnt hold anything up. I believe thats perfectly fine. But if you want to do your dance and take 5-10 seconds to have your moment on stage, that is not ok, wait until you walk off and you go back to yourseat. I wouldn't care any then.

How the frick is this racist? The definition of the word has lost its value. This was simply ushering off jackasses who disrespected the ceremony. In like there is structure to the professional world, rules, and consequences. You'd think a college degree would have taught this valuable lesson. On second hand, it is UF so maybe I'm expecting too much
