This match was stupid. Why fight with boxing rules when you are a kickboxer? Boxing isn't nearly as competitive as it was in the 70's and 80's, now there's just no competition. Merryweather would get his arse beat by Hagler or Hearns or Leonard or Duran.

"would get his arse beat by Hagler or Hearns or Leonard or Duran" At brawling? Probably. At boxing, they'd never put a glove on him. He would surgically neutralize them.

This is like having a top flight Cricket player try and get a hit off Clayton Kershaw, Craig Kimbrel, or any other pick of your favorite strike out pitcher. Sure its similar but its not the same thing.

So the “kickboxing sensation” wasn’t allowed to use his legs?

Should let the kickboxer use his legs in a rematch

These fights with mma and kick boxing guys is just a payday for them. It’s ridiculous to fight maybe the greatest boxer of all time on his terms in his field.

Say all you want about his reading and writing acumen. If we all take a step back to think why we go to school. it is not just to read and write, it's to pay the way so we can hopefully live the american dream of total wealth. this guy does it lights years beyond all of us. he is getting the last laugh at all of us who are working hard into our 50's dealing with office politics and market swings. This guy is bulletproof from all of that and still makes more money in a month than most of will make in a life time. DEAL WITH IT.

Playing the odds, most kids won’t grow up to be one of the best boxers in history. So stay in school kids.

Floyd has made millions by being a bad guy that everyone hates. He figured out, purposely or not, that the only thing people liked more than seeing the hero win is seeing the villain lose. He plays villain perfect.

The outcome of that fight had to have been predetermined. The way that dude flew to the ground. Wtf?

Is this real? I haven't heard shite about this except from Larry? I'm questioning all of humanity right now. I don't like this one bit.

No it’s real that fight was set up a few months ago. The other guy is a kickboxing phenom.

Floyd’s opponent was a joke. He looks like he weighed 100 lbs.
