There's Speculation Nick Saban Could Return To College Football As An Assistant
© Marvin Gentry-USA TODAY Sports
In a piece for Saturday Blitz, writer Peter Bartell pondered the thought of Georgia defensive coordinator Glenn Schumann, who previously worked under Nick Saban, possibly becoming the coach of West Virginia which could be a move that draws Saban to Morgantown...
quote:

"While I have speculated that Saban may want to return home to West Virginia in an assistant coach capacity, I believe that is very much contingent upon who the Mountaineers decide to hire as the head coach. Oddly enough, if it is his former mentee in Schumann, the mentee could become the mentor overnight. And I believe Saban would be more than okay with it given their history together," Bartell wrote.

"These two defensive minds together both in Morgantown could be the ultimate lure for Saban to be added to the staff for 2025."
But Saban has also state repeatedly that he's not going to West Virginia...

Random question ... Is Larry ok or on vacation?? Been a a few days since he's updated the sports lite section. How do we call in a safety check to his basement??

That'd be like Pitino coaching Louisville - just without the hookers and blow.

He is done with coaching. He has a nice easy gig on gameday, even though his opinions and comments are spot on, he has the personality of a tree.

This is the most pointless article of all time, but very on brand for the present state of ""reporting "

TITLE: Veronica Corningstone and I GOT. IT. OM.

Article: Well no, we didn't. But you could imagine what it would be like if we did.

There is zero chance of this happening. Maybe an analyst. No HC would want this

Don’t know about the assistant coach thingy but he said he really dislikes the gameday ear plug telling him when he can and can’t speak. Might prove to be an interesting off season for him.

chance of this happening is zero percent.
