South Carolina running back Sam Williams-Dixon was arrested and charged with three counts of breaking into motor vehicles, three counts of criminal conspiracy, and one count of grand larceny involving property valued between $2,000 and $10,000. The charges stem from allegations that he participated in a series of vehicle break-ins in the Columbia area earlier this month.

According to reports, Williams-Dixon and his younger brother are accused of breaking into three vehicles between June 7 and June 12 with the intent to steal valuables. The case remains ongoing, and the charges are allegations that have not been proven in court.

In response to the arrest, South Carolina announced that Williams-Dixon has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities in accordance with athletic department policy. The former Ohio State transfer had joined the Gamecocks earlier this year and was expected to provide depth in the backfield heading into the 2026 season.

I'm sure there will be a judge somewhere in SC that will get him off those charges so he can play football by September! It's all good..He didn't kill nobody!

The criminal justice system does not compensate anyone for their name, image and likeness, but they do provide a special number, bed and three meals per day.

Shane is going to do what a gentleman and more importantly leader of men would do by letting the process play out. You and I have 2 very different opinions of this man. I don’t like SCe but have always thought of Shane like his father - a truly classy human being and someone I deeply respect because of how he respects others.
We are not judges or juries. Let it play out in the justice system. Shane will always do what is right by all.
