Paul Finebaum Says 1 SEC Fan Base Needs To ‘Take A Chill Pill’
© Ken Ruinard / staff via Imagn Content Services, LLC
Even though Arkansas is 3-0, ESPN college football analyst Paul Finebaum isn’t buying the hype just yet...
quote:

“Let’s take a chill pill about Arkansas,” Finebaum said on SEC Nation. “Yeah, I mean, I’m on the train, or whatever bus, or scooter, or whatever it is. But (Texas) A&M, Georgia, Ole Miss, Auburn, there’s Alabama. Let’s just wait a second, because next week is critical. You’ve got Arkansas and Texas A&M, and that has just been a terrible experience for the Razorbacks. Every year they come close, they’re on the goal line, they lose. There’s another game next week that I think is also very important — LSU and Mississippi State. We’re going to start weeding out some of the contenders, but not today. And what I just got to hearing here, where can I get a hog hat?”

I’m actually interested in this one. The winner will definitely have some early momentum.

Why even bring up LSU/MSU? No one in either fan base believes “this is our year”.

There’s changing of the guards all the time. Arkansas is excited about a new coach and new opportunities. No reason to hate because we have Ed who nobody in the country would’ve hired.

It's really not the fan base that needs to chill. We are at best cautiously optimistic. I mean except for Jon down below.

I’m not sure why it’s so hard to say that Arky has looked good through 3 games. Everyone knows they still have to play the conference schedule

Take all the pills you want Paul. You need a pill to cloud your brain to not see what this Arkansas team is. We’re talking about a Cam Newton-esq QB leading a Briles offense with a Pittman o-line and maybe the best stable of RB’s in the nation and oh yeah maybe the best WR in the nation. And look at the defense. Barry Odom has them playing hard and is putting them in the right places. A lunch pail group at LB backed up by one of the best secondaries in America. Whatchu gonna do brother when the hogs run wild on you?! You’re gonna need to reup your chill pills when the hogs run A&M out of Jerry World next week!

Why is this an article worthy statement? The 4 game gauntlet we have coming up will tell us what we are. That's all PF was saying. You fricking suck at your job Larry.

Those of us who are not retarded know we haven’t beaten anyone yet, and have looked like garbage on offense at times.
