With Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC and potential playoff expansion, Conn Carroll of the Washington Examiner thinks it’s time to limit the SEC to just one playoff berth...

Yeah, the SEC is untrustworthy, and the 12-team playoff outlined above would only reward them for it. Not only would the SEC champion get a bye every year but all six at-large selections would go to SEC teams too. The college football postseason would look even more like an SEC invitational tournament than it already is.

Instead of rewarding the SEC with even more playoff spots, college football should go in the opposite direction and only give them one.

Sounds like a Dumbocrat. "Give" the SEC 1 spot and let others have a chance they don't deserve. How's about "Give" the spots to whatever teams deserve them. And not be concerned with what conference they are in. The other conferences should want to become better than what they are so that they can be "Given" more than 1 spot in the playoff. This isn't peewee football people. Earn your keep.

The best teams in college football should be in the playoffs. Even if all four are from the SEC, so be it. There should be no discrimination based on conference. Georgia and Bama dominated their playoff opponents and deserve to be the finalists because they’re the two best teams in college football.
