That general area had been in a 20 year downward spiral. From when that home was built in 1975 until probably 2005 that was a decent area to have an upper middle class home in. As a few have mentioned the encroaching bad elements have probably gotten just too close for comfort for some buyers. Pro...
re: Smoke alarm question
Posted by TygerDurden on 4/14/24 at 7:18 am
The extent of my smoke alarm knowledge and past experience is that battery always goes out around 2am and will beep incessantly every 20 seconds at a frequency that is impossible for an adult human to ignore. A kid on the other hand is impervious to that noise and can quite easily function with it....

Yeah Randy Lemmon knew his stuff when it came to all things plants and grass for yards here the gulf south. I use to enjoy listening to his call in show on Saturday mornings on one of the local AM stations. He was a wealth of knowledge. ...
I’m talking large neighborhoods and every single house in the whole area is only for rent.
Every house an entire community being a rental is a recipe for slow degradation for that community. Most (not all) but certainly most renters see that home as being temporary therefore they...
Oppenheimer was pretty good
Honestly I expected something much better from Christopher Nolan. Not a terrible movie by any means just not one that I would consider among the greats.
This points to the observation of the OP. The “new makers” of movies (Netflix, Amazon and others...

I first attest I have no idea what happened in this situation but after being on a jury in a somewhat complicated and lengthy civil trial 20 years ago I can assure you there are plenty ...
re: Giving up alcohol in general

I find these threads on alcohol consumption fascinating and yet sad as well. It amazes me the shear amount of alcohol that some of the posters on threads like this drink daily. I would not think they would lie but this is the OT after all. Just from a financial perspective that is a large amount o...
