That's actually pretty cool. Let the crowd noise tell the story.

In a way that was a great call.

Said nothing about the game, the ending, and whether or not the field goal was good or not. Golden was more worried about announcing the fine A&M will be faced with than the game and or the ending. Typical Alabama Elephant response. Low Tide!

Funny, that's how they 'roll'. Good friend of mine was at the 2019 LSU v Bama game and he said as soon as the clock hit :00 they turned off ALL the scoreboards. They didn't want any pictures of that final score in their stadium.

The Alabama Elephant organization just can't handle a loss now can they? Well wake up boys....it is going to happen sooner or later. Low Tide

that's actually a great "call" by Eli Gold. No need to talk over the drama that the radio listeners can clearly hear.

The "$250,000" fee comment was absolutely irrelevant. Nobody cares about it in that moment.

Was listening on Sat-Radio. Radio has nostalgic element. Must be 1000 times I heard the Billy Cannon runback.

Really comes across as sour grapes and not being able to handle losing more than a good call. The $250K comment sort of solidifies that pettiness as well.

I love when announcers shut up for half a second. Let the game speak for itself. The Ole Miss Arkansas game was the best broadcast I've seen since I can remember.

If they ignore the result, maybe it didn’t happen?

I’m sure the context was “I will let the crowd noise tell you what happens”, but we only heard “what happens” and then the kick. Not a big deal.

This is why Eli Gold is one of the best.

Not used to losing. It tastes bad if you haven't had it in a while.

If it was in Tuscaloosa, the scoreboard would have been powered off about 20 seconds after 0:00. Such douchebags over there.
