I unfortunately don’t have the time to do a FOIA but I assure you UGA Law will under the direction of Kirbs.
My hope is that Zach’s attorney or an UGA attorney files charges against the ego cop for malicious prosecution and they attach his pension.
For a guy who isn't even on the team anymore?
Clown statement.

Brother. Chill. You like the outdoors and Deer Meat is an excellent example for us as believers.
Please don’t allow me to distract from his message. You likely know Blue Gabe also.
Let’s just celebrate Deer Meat please. He’s an awesome dude. Again, please forgive me.

God bless this board, my UGA fans, believers everywhere. I’m the worst of all sinners like Paul said. I hope that song blesses your hearts.

After the officer attended to an altercation in front of General Beauregard’s, a bar next door to Cloud, the officer states that Branch continued to stand on the sidewalk without making an attempt to move.
The officer then continued to give Branch instructions to move from the sidewalk and that if he did not, he would receive a citation for blocking the sidewalk. The report then states that Branch “smirked, then stepped backwards and to the right, then remained standing upon the public sidewalk, so as to obstruct, hinder, and impede free passage upon the sidewalk as well as impede free ingress/egress to or from the adjacent places of business.”
In other words, another ACCPD cop trying to flex. This is going to get laughed at by a judge and then dismissed.

Police report for Zachariah Branch adds more details into what led to his arrest

Arrests without a warrant in GA must be taken before a judge for a probable cause determination within 48 hours. So, at least one judge has looked at it and didn't dismiss it. Perhaps they did laugh, though.

That sounds like a pretty informed answer; guessing you’re an attorney, I am not. Point stands, though, that this arrest seems pretty petty and unnecessary.

Here's the ABH story on the incident:
LINK
Cliff notes:
A crowd was trying to push its way into a bar that was closing. Customers who were trying to leave the bar couldn't exit. A fight broke out on the sidewalk. Officers were trying to clear the sidewalk. Branch refused.
Blame the officer if you want, but what about Branch? Couldn't he simply have moved and avoided the situation?

Probably deserved a citation, I think it making national news as “another culture problem at uga” is the issue. I’d assume if there was a big crowd surge and fight and someone wasn’t moving there would be more than just branch arrested for standing there right?

There was at least one other arrest per the ABH article.

Athens GA is a master at manufacturing UGAs own self inflicted bad publicity on things that our peer schools towns could give two shits about... Mongaloids.
Our kids aren't any different than anyone elses.

I think the silver lining of the arrest is that he dropped in the draft because of it and the Falcons were able to pick him up in the 3rd round. I thought he would have been a late first round or late 2nd round pick.

He should be able to sue the cop and city for his loss .... Put an end to the craziness in Athens.

Zach was being a dick to the cops so they arrested him. I doubt he will sue, otherwise the body cams come out and I bet it's just as embarrasing to Zach as it may be for the cops.

Being a dick isn't an arrestable offense.
