When?

I doubt it. In order to do it without hitting the bridge, they would almost certainly have to use that retarded-looking erector set bullshite that USCe and Penn State use...it wouldn’t go with the overall aesthetic of Sanford. I’m mad enough about the 600’s without adding more of that trash to the more visible parts of the stadium. Just my strong but very humble opinion.

Prediction: No school in the SEC will ever again expand capacity.

I wonder. With the current “arms race” to attract more and better players, might stadium capacity be a selling point? Not really working for TN though.

It’s not going to be about capacity. It’ll be about amenities.

That, and game day experience.

No. They’ve mentioned before they want to keep the bridge side open. The aesthetics of seeing campus and the sun setting.

Talking about seating, which SEC schools give us the worst seats when we have to visit?

The last few years there's been a shift in away assignments so the answer is basically "everyone but vandy". Used to be we would get a large swath of lower level corner seats and wrap around some into the endzone and some into the field at some places. That was probably a good 4-5Kish people with another 4ishK people spread around the upper decks. Nowadays we get like 1 or 2K people at most in the lower level corner with everyone else as far up as possible.
Same at sanford...used to be visitors got pretty much all of that 101-103 section, or a large chunk of it anyway, plus a big chunk of 301-303 then the rest up in the 600s. Now they have a small chunk in 101-102 then I think the rest in the 600s.

If anything they should reduce seating, more space, turdmonster on tap at every gate, free popcorn and water, less tv timeouts, and smoking allowed outside of the seating areas.

This sounds amazing, so they definitely won't do any of it.

If I could watch a 2.5 hour football game while drinking a couple cold tropicalias with a complimentary bottle of water and a bag of shitty popcorn, and maybe pop a one-hitter on the concourse during halftime, I would pay $500 for a ticket.

They keep an eye on actual resale values with their access to Stubhub data. It is in their best interest to keep demand high and prices inflated.
The ROI is in suites and higher dollar seats not mile high seating at the lowest price. The lack of traveling in by many away teams as also deflated ticket values.
If people can always find cheap seats, they are less likely to donate to the education of our young men or smoothies bars and lazy rivers.

You can do all of that with a 60” widescreen with much less traffic and for a fraction of the cost.

I hope Never! I was pissed when they enclosed the end zone and blocked off the railroad track crowd. Still am.

While that's true, there is no tv big enough to replace actually being there and seeing it up close and hearing all tbe sounds and taking in everything that comes with being right there in the action
