What an incredible year if you really think about it

UGA dominated the SEC this year. The thrashings of virtually every opponent on the schedule literally leaves me lost for words. It ended with a SECT as well justifying our spot as the best team in the league. How does this season rank for you guys? This is definitely #1 for me.

Very impressive.. UT and UF were really down which is not our fault. Bottom line, we took care of business and I think the team is trending better.

It's been a blast. Not over yet.
I like that we're by far the most under-the-radar team in the field. Clemson is the defending champ, OU has the Heisman, Bama is Bama, and UGA is just handling its business.

UT and UF have been down for like 5 years, we still managed to frick those up in the past. Us dominating our rivals this year was huge.

Good perspective. I agree. Georgia is definitely the darkhorse to win this thing. Even if we don't win the championship, I really want to beat OU. I'm tired of hearing about the arrogant a-hole that is Baker Mayfield. I would love to see the Heisman Curse continue through Mayfield.

I was accepted into UGA Law in ‘86.
This is the best season we’ve had since then.
12-1
11 of the wins by a blow out.
Our one close win was on the road at South Bend - our first trip there ever.
Our only loss was avenged in the SECCG with a vengeance.
Most of our traditional rivals are in total disarray.
Made the CFP for the first time with a chance to win it all.
I could go on but, yeah, this is the best season we’ve had since I started religiously following Georgia football.

I remember some of the glory days of the early 80's (Really only remember '82 as I was really young) but had to endure the Goff and Donnan eras.
2002 meant so much to me. Winning that title after the drought was an amazing time to be a Bulldog. I loved that team so much. With that said, this is the best UGA team I've ever seen.

You are the one that has called me out for that claim. Does that make you obsessed? Maybe but that's a silly accusation to make. Have you finally accepted how good this team has been this year?

Don't "call you out" for anything.Just respond to your insipid lost.

Where do you get this bullshite?Find one post where I saID this wasn't a good team.I did take issue with you
in regards to your assertion that this team is FAR better than '02.
Go back to the beginning of the year and preseason.I fully expected this team to win the East and win 11 games. You downplayed them FAR more than I did in the preseason and then you of course, you being the whiny little vagina, come on here with all your "told ya so"
horseshite.

Obviously been a very magical and unforgettable season!!!
One of the best parts is how we were the team that finally rose up and represented the East. It'd been since 2008. If it was gonna be anybody from the East, DAMN right it should be us, especially after how close we were in 2012. Feels great!!!

I with ya Davey. Even though more was on the line last Saturday, 2002 was probably still more meaningful and emotional for me just because it was two things that I'd never seen before (Georgia actually making it to the damn SECCG after 10 years of waiting, and then Georgia actually winning the SEC for the first time that I could remember and the first time since I was 2).

Over time people have forgotten just how much that 02 season really meant.
We were a perennial 10 win team with richt. We'd won some titles, BCS bowls, usually finished aroudn the top 10, etc. We were pretty good but couldn't make the next level. Now were are potentially reaching that next level, but its' not like our starting point was even bad.
In 02, we were coming off a decade wandering the wilderness. Utterly and thoroughly abused for 10 years by florida and tennessee. A mere two 10-win seasons, which didn't even result in an SEC East title. Hoping for outback bowls. Several losing seasons, even more high-water mark 8 win seasons. 2 coaches that never amounted to anythign in 1A football. We were mostly a pretty bad program since dooley left. So 2002 wasn't just going from pretty darn good to great (like now), it was going from pretty darn BAD to great. It was such a quick and complete turnaround that many people had never even experienced a season like that in their lives. It was magical.

It's been an amazing season so far.
In addition to what others have said, we did all this with a Freshman QB who came in for a hurt stud that was proclaimed as our messiah.
We've had some amazing catches by our receivers after last year where they struggled seemingly every game.
We've blown up our opponents (for the most part) and have done so without a single kickoff or punt return for a TD (we also haven't given up any punt or return TDs).

I watched the most epic troll of my life back when trollin' wasn't easy...1993 sitting in Sanford watching us lose to Arky when I look up to see flying overhead is a plane with "Fire Ray Goof" on a sign behind it.

This is a very important point/turn around from last season among other things.
