Basketball talk in September.

I know that football is king in the SEC and I love it too, but there are plenty of other sports out there in the world, I promise. Some of you dudes really need to get out more. In North Carolina and Indiana and some other states, college basketball actually is #1 and more popular than college football.

A few things to remember here: First off you are a woman.

Secondly, I was proud of my post and I put a lot of time into that crap! I had to do some research and had to look up the old Tennessee coach's first name and then I had to look up their signing class.

I thought that it was a tremendous troll and I was very pleased with the way it worked out. I apologize if you didn't recognize the intent and/or if I caused you any vaginal leakage

You are longer welcome on the Georgia board. We really didn't like you to begin with. This seals the deal.

That's cute.
I am a Georgia football fan but I'm also a Tennessee basketball fan. My grandpa was friends with Wade Houston and I shot hoops with Allen Houston one time when I was 8. Allen Houston was my childhood hero.

The Florida State game should be a good early season test. We'll find out fast if Drew and Josiah are ready to contribute. Some of us are worried about the Memphis game, but we've owned Memphis. I think we'll be ready by January. I see us going about 12-6 or 11-7 in the conference and being a 6 or 7 seed in the tourney.

We might be quiet now but give it a few months. We're gonna take over this board and run this b•tch. Basketball season is right around the corner dammit!!!!!
Tennessee fans have never been more tolerable. Apathy and self-deprecating humor, it's endearing. Some of the posts on volnation on Saturday night really were genuinely hilarious.

Never thought I'd say it, but Tennessee fans these days are okay!!!

They rushed for 128 yards in the first quarter lol.
It's the first week dude. Chill with the Nostradamus

lol, their season is 22 minutes old and some people are already drawing grand conclusions.
There have been so many innovations of all kinds of random shite in America since the 1960s, yet football games are still broadcast the exact same way as the 1960s. Two dorks sitting in a sound booth in the press box and the same close-in camera angle of the quarterback and the O line from the 50 yard line.

Watching the Notre Dame/Louisville game on Skycam on the ESPN App right now. Definitely has potential. No ESPN announcers, but the PA announcer is piped into the audio, so you still know who did what. I'm not jealous of the television announcers and I don't think that I "could do a better job," I just think that they are irritating and it makes the game watching experience shittier in general.

Skycam has no TV announcers so way more crowd noise and stadium noise is pumped in. Doesn't feel like a sound booth. I'd have never picked it up from watching the game on the ESPN television broadcast, but the Louisville crowd is really loud and jacked up for this game and there are a lot of them and Notre Dame is up against it tonight.

Also the angle is better. You can see the secondary. The camera angle is the exact same as it was in 1964 even though a lot of teams are throwing 40-50 times a game. Seems antiquated.

That's cute an everything, but for whatever it's worth I wouldn't trade Fromm for any QB in America aside from Trevor Lawrence, because Fromm is a really good college quarterback and perfect what what we try to do as an offense. Jesse Palmer on the telecast last night said that not since Peyton Manning had a college QB seen so much at the line of scrimmage pre-snap and changed into the right plays. That's obviously really strong!

However that doesn't mean that Fromm doesn't have holes in his game. Too many times he was seeing pressure that wasn't really there last night and stopping his progressions and not stepping into his throws. And like the other Dawg fan said, Fromm's footwork and pocket presence has actually gotten shittier since his freshman season. Fromm is too athletic to be such a statue in the pocket.

Our defense is so bad, waaaah waaah waaaah

Yall are a bunch of snot nosed fricking babies. I bet half of you can't wipe your asses.

frick all of you. So and so this and so and so that. Bitches please.

Pink-assed little dodo's yall are.

Change my mind.

I had no idea that Dawg fans were griping about our defense until I just read this. Hadn't seen it or heard it. You are feigning outrage for the sake of drawing attention to yourself, which has become the new American pastime, surpassing baseball and football.

Fromm's night

Posted by BoneDrownedDave on 8/31/19 at 10:52 pm
First 3 possessions he looked like 88 Joe Montana. 7-8 for 89 yards and a TD. Also had a 60 yard reception called back on a holding.

Rest of the game he looked like 2015 Grayson Lambert. 8-15 for 64 yards.

Fromm was really locked in to start the game. The TD pass and then the bomb to Robertson were both ridiculous. After that he was sloppy and had shitty pocket presence and goofy footwork like the LSU game.

Fromm is still the man. In his defense Vandy was playing their safeties deep and just trying not to lose by a thousand. Fromm's performance was still disappointing tonight, however. His 30th career start and a crappy conference opponent. I guess I just expected more.

re: Jim Chaney

My dorky little brother is a UTK grad living in east Knoxville and DAM he was pissed at Chaney earlier.

Knock against Chaney when he got to Georgia was that he can be good when he has really good players. But when he doesn't got the players its embarrassing and he completely blows
BOOM!!!!!! Nate McBride stands up the running back in the hole and then with the belly to belly duplex. PASTY POWER mothertruckers!!!!!! Best player on the team

Short yardage still giving us problems. Ugh

Cognitive bias. It's a universal theme for whoever your favorite team is. (INSERT NAME OF YOUR FAVORITE TEAM) have a hard time on 3rd and short. Dawg fans have been saying it forever. Falcons fans have been saying it forever. Seahawks fans. Kansas State fans. All of em
Derek Mason is playing not lose by a thousand. Two safeties playing deep deep, and on offense the Vandy QB hadn't thrown a pass longer than 5 yards until a few minutes ago. Pansy arse.
52 points makes you wonder if our offense will miss a beat without the Jay Johnston feller. We shall see!
Right now MSUCoast is the only one who's in!
Post your 2 SEC locks for the week.

If both of them lose, you are cancelled. If at least one hits, you live on to post to the next week. Last goober still posting and left standing wins.

Command economies

Posted by BoneDrownedDave on 8/24/19 at 10:09 am
"Our great American companies are hereby ordered to immediately start looking for an alternative to China, including bringing your companies HOME and making your products in the USA."

The whole "hereby ordered" thing was the starting part to me. Not saying that Trump craves a complete command economy. But he has some scary-arse tendencies and he's definitely on the spectrum.

Command economies come in different shapes and sizes. You don't have to go all Bolshevik Lenin socialist.

You can go the fascist route and still have shop owners and factory owners. But in the process strong arm. Pick winners and losers. Choose who to work with and who to bury. Russia is trending towards a control/kleptocracy economy. Be friendly with some oligarchs and bury the rest.

In this regard Trump definitely is on the fascist spectrum. Then again, however, Obama's bank bailouts were also on the fascist spectrum. Winners and losers were picked. Grin and bear it. America's WWII economy also was full-blown fascist.

That's why it's important to call out fascist and un-American tendencies whenever you see it. It's nothing personal against Trump. I think that he's a giant pansy and has the emotional intelligence of a 16 year old, but Trump doesn't give me any strong or adverse emotional reaction. We only have either 1 more or 5 more years of this mania. This too shall pass!!!
