Not really. Apparently Raymond reached out to us about the DB coach position. His gameday coaching has been eliminated and he only works with the CBs now at LSU, so he may be real unhappy, even though it's his alma mater.

If he is so unhappy, why would he reach out to UGA only to stay at LSU? What am I missing here?

Possibility that when he interviewed with Kirby, his personality wasn’t a fit? Or maybe he wasn't offered the job after talking to Kirby? So many factors.

I knew he would. That's exactly why I didn't allow myself to get excited about it. He probably got a hefty raise from LSU which is all he wanted. These hires have not been as exciting as I had hoped, but maybe they'll work out great.
He should have hired Ansley for DC and been done with it.

That's what a lot of these guys are doing. Like Gran at UK. Show some interest...get a little play in the media...parlay a raise.

Quite a few credible folks are now saying that reports of him “deciding to stay at a LSU” were premature.
Sounds like offer may or may not happen, but not likely to go out until tomorrow.
All positions will be full before Thursday, because we have a full slate of OVs coming in this weekend, and Kirby won’t go into it with an incomplete staff.

Especially for guys that would be making a move to the same position. In that case it takes more money than their school will match, ala Chaney.

LSU will probably match any raise we give him. Only reason I could see him coming here is in a DC capacity of some sort...
would be a killer hire though and would also be a kick in the nuts to lsu haha
