I can understand that I guess. I think the games start next week and a few of the guys (including Yante) are banged up physically and everybody is probably drained mentally. Might be best just to move on.

I can see this being the case. Yante knows were are going nowhere in the NIT and even if we did winning the NIT is basically a losers championship. Yante is probably well advised to do whatever it takes to get ready for the next level. He's a great player and a DGD. I wish him only the best.

I did some quick math... UGA had 8 wins and 12 losses vs tourney teams.

Have we ever played 20 games against tourney teams? Did I miss any?

Gonna guess we can unsticky this, but Elias King did decommit. Thankfully there's a ton of time to get him back if we make a good hire.

Well frick my arse, that's a real damper on the off-season. He's great for UGA but he's making big mistake, he's not gonna get significant minutes on an NBA squad for a while.

With the new rules they can come back. I havent seen one mock with him on it. It is obvious he needs another year in college. I fully expect him to return next year.

Interesting, admittedly I don’t know really anything about the rules- so it’s not like football? He can declare and then still come back to college? Any stipulations/requirements?

It's the hiring of an agent, not the declaration of entering the draft, that prevents guys from reversing their decision in both CFB and CBB I believe.

There is a certain date he has to come back by.

As long as he doesnt have an agent, he can go to pre-draft camps and workouts, but the date to return is sometime towards the end of May I believe, so he cant just go into the draft and hope for the best.

His post made it seem like he was hiring an agent.
