I really liked it. Great period piece with the setting and costumes. The girl playing the main stepsister was fantastic with such a hefty role. I had a couple of laugh out loud moments in the third act , and I think the filmmaker was going for another emotion.

I try to go in blind on most horror movies, especially these Shudder ones, so I hate to say that it took me a good 15-20 minutes before I realized what story they were telling.

Alpha – Julia Ducournau (France, Belgium)
The History of Sound – Oliver Hermanus (United Kingdom, United States)
Nouvelle Vague – Richard Linklater (France)
The Phoenician Scheme – Wes Anderson (United States, Germany)

Really looking forward to these four.
Clown in a Cornfield is being released in theaters next week. I think it might just break the streak for horror at the Oscars.

Happens quite often with any athlete in a number of sports that potentially has a future in the professional ranks(Paul Skenes).

If players dont and still have professional aspirations, then you can look at the case of Noah Song. Right handed pitcher from Navy. Didnt really blossom until his junior year, and by the end of his senior year, he had first round talent. He slid to the 4th round of the 2019 draft by Boston and went straight to the minors. Played 17 innings at the end of the 2019 season while he appealed his commitment to the Navy. He was ultimately denied. He studied to be a fighter pilot. Millions of dollars went into training him. He spent his four years in the Navy, and then came back to baseball as a 26 year old in 2023, where he wasnt bad with all the rust. He then messed up his elbow spring 2024 and hasnt pitched since. Not a great chance he will make it to the majors now.
The movie was so gorgeous in IMAX. Huge theater that was probably 75% full on Easter afternoon.

The first musical scene led by Sammy is something Ill never forget and will watch over and over once its released digitally.

re: Who Wins the Royal Rumble?

The advertisements for Elimination Chamber are heavily advertising Cena. Thats where he is going to win. He's filming the Matchbox movie right now in Eastern Europe. He's not going to come in, win the rumble, and go away for a few more weeks.
They also have product deals with at least Tide, Barbasol, American Family Insurance, Microsoft, and McDonalds. Going to take a big chunk out of the production budget

Marvel is going to make as many deals as possible to get this movie to the black.

Tide
Barbasol
American Family Insurance
Microsoft
McDonalds

Pickups from the Nashville show this past weekend. Definitely the worst show for pickups and sales in a couple years.

It was at least my tenth watch when I realized that Steve Buscemi played the Buddy Holly waiter at Jack Rabbit Slims.
