Georgia is going to win the game. Having said that, there are going to be a lot of disappointed folks on message boards next week. Youth at WR, all over the field really, is going to make this one closer than it should be. Think about a freshman wowing you with a dazzling catch on one play...and dropping a wide open 5 yard out for a first down later on. That’s youth and that’s what you’re going to see Saturday night - lots of talent but youth....
Just remember that they’re going to be fine. One game does not a season make.

You do realize that Vandy has youth all over the field as well?
How do you define "closer than it should be"?

Yep. I think it’s going to be a sloppy game for all parties. Georgia winning by 10-14 points is what I think of as “closer than it should be.
Lot of troubling talk about this team out there over the last week has hurt my confidence.

You might know something I dont.
Freshman starters at QB/RT/ILB beat Vandy at Vandy in 2017 45-14.

Here is what I do know...
Upperclassmen starters at
LT, LG, RT (maybe RG), TE, RB, QB, all 3 receiver spots.
LCB, both safeties, both ILBs, sOLB, DT, DE, star, dime (maybe rCB)
3rd through 5th year players all across the field. Much, much better than 2018 (improvement at LT, QB, RT, Cade May's as a floater, RB on offense. Defense rCB,ILB, safety)

I appreciate tampening down of expectations, but you're incorrect here.
Youth all over the field? For a college team, UGA is very experienced - definitely as experienced as anyone in the country. There is literally one position where UGA is inexperienced and that's WR - and that position will likely have a junior/RS Soph and a senior starting.
Further, UGA can run the ball literally every play and put up 45. Vandy has one game changer on the team, and he's running behind an O-Line with 3 new starters. Do you expect their first year starter at QB to lead a comeback?
ETA: Vandy gave up 195 yards a game on the ground last year, and they lost significant defensive production.
This one should be at least 3 touchdowns.

From earlier in the thread - “Vandy's new QB is a grad transfer from Ball State. In 3 years as a starter, he threw for 7393 yards (60%) with 46 TDs and 25 INTs. Also ran for over 1300 yards with 15 TDs. Not as impressive of a passer as Shurmur was, but is more of a threat to run.”

What troubling talk? You can't just say something like that and then leave us hanging.

It’s been said that there are some bad attitudes on this team and some helicopter parents hanging around a little too much. There’s a lot of talent but not a lot of team and that practice has been a mess as of late. Lots of fumbles, fights, and sloppy play and that’s got some folks in the doghouse. Some rumblings that WR and DL are going to be a season long work in progress too. Lot of inconsistency in those units right now.

Some guy calling himself Speve Sturrier, I think.
