Is that different than the Dawgvent? I think the Dawgvent is now 247 sports. I got on the original Dawgvent around 1998. Lot of good discussions on there. They had a Hoopvent that was awesome until it become premium. Soon after everthing became premium. This is a solid board however. I thought Facebook would replace message boards, but I still love the message board format as I think a lot of people do.

the dawgvent is still on Rivals as it has been for nearly 20 years. Not affiliated with 247. I first started posting on the "dawgvent" in 2000. Great board, lots of good characters. It was roughly around 2005ish that they decided to start splitting up boards into free and premium. The dawgvent split into the "vent" (pay board) and "dawgchat" which remained free. The character was never the same after that but the dawgvent is still a pretty good board for info.

10 years is way too long. And some of the post counts are reaching obscene totals
Idea: We all need to swear a suicide pact. We put our heads together and come up with a number, 100, 500, 1,000 or whatever. Then we swear never ever to post again on here after that many more posts.
Think of how much better posts would get when people cherish each one and realize they are limited!

Well. We’re all gonna make a last post at some point. But, if we do it this way, at least you’d know it ahead of time, right?
I’d probably burn out quicker than you because I type “AHHHHH!” a lot in game threads. So when my count gets down to the last one, you could be right there when I pass. Placing your hand gently on my shoulder when the last breath comes. Don’t be sad though. Celebrate it. And then I’d be out there lurking whenever your final post comes and I’ll smile and nod my head from out in the great beyond.
One by one all of our currently on-line green lights go out for good. With brave dignity having left it all on the field..

Hard to believe it’s been 10 years since I developed a deep hatred for LSU/Saint fans. I seriously didn’t know how bad they were until we merged with TD.

That's crazy, definitely doesn't seem like that long ago. I remember the night it was merging. You'd post and it'd bring you over here, was quite confusing.
