Kind of like Stafford being in the league for 10 years and just now winning his first playoff game because he left Detroit and has some talent around him?

I would rather see what we do with 5 star talent at the QB position but BVG has struggled. Beck is good for 1 pick in garbage time no matter what. We need a true QB coach. Monken is a great OC but when you have a talented 5 star QB and 4 star QB and they aren't getting developed, there's an issue there. Hire true QB coach and just let Monken be the OC if he doesn't leave for the NFL or a HC gig.

The frustration comes from the fact that we've had 5 stars come in and leave and it's looking like BVG may be on his way out as well. I don't know why Kirby won't hire a QB coach. Too much talent to be coming in to not develop, and eventually big time QBs are not going to want to come here.

We've been "RB-U", "LB-U", even "TE-U" per some. We've supplied a steady stream of great running backs to the NFL. More recently we're doing it with OLs and DLs, too.

Isn't it odd that we just rarely ever have that same level at QB? The last was Matt Stafford, 10 years ago. And when we do bring them in lately...they seem to wind up leaving quickly for one reason or another.

who on our roster should be the starter for 2022 and what are you basing that off of?

Who's left to choose from? But wait...can I make a portal pick? We blew it on Caleb Williams but Jaxson Dart might still be available.

Not going to matter though since Kirby made his decisions.

And Stafford didn't win crap at GA. Constantly threw into double coverage because of his "elite" arm.

Look at the teams he played on and their talent relative to our competitors then, versus now. Put that Matt Stafford on our 2021 team and it's probably the greatest team in history of college football.

If Stafford was so shitty, why on earth was he the 1st player picked in the 2009 draft? Incredibly dumb NFL scouts gave him a $37 million contract - the biggest ever at that time??

We were not even in the same playground as Alabama and Florida in that time period...three or four great players versus 4 and 5 stars three deep now...

Again, though...Stafford 1st player picked in the draft. Seems to say something.

I’m no insider, but there have been multiple mentions of Burton being a possible transfer for a few weeks.

On here? I don't recall one.

Which podcaster or beat writer mentioned this?

Those leaving seem injury prone or afraid of competition or both.

Bring on the next generation.

Or looking for more opportunity elsewhere.

I’m fine with them leaving, and thankful for their time in Athens. Would loved for a couple specifically to stay but it’s also the age of the transfer. People are going to leave from all schools. I trust Kirby to replenish more than what we lose most of the time.

Stetson won a NC

Because he just happened to be on the most talented UGA team in the history of the program was very fortunate for him. There are players like Bowers and Davis and Cine and Dean and Salyer..guys who are among the best in the nation at their positions. Then there are players like Bennett, benefiting from the greatness of others.

How many QB in CFB history have had great talent around them and not won a NC? Fromm, Eason and Fields to name a few, along with almost 100% of QBs in the NFL.

Don't embarrass yourself any further. You just simply don't know what you're talking about.

Wait, you found 2021 to be embarrassing?

I didn't find 2021 embarrassing. I found Bennett embarrassing -- but much more so now.

I can see why fans of other programs think some of our fans are ignorant.

Stetson Bennett just led UGA to the first National Championship in 41 years. There have been at least 41 UGA QBs who didn't do that. Damn, son. Quit embarrassing yourself.

O'kay, I get it. Lucious Clay is a dude, or maybe alter, who hangs around making ridiculous posts to get a response. No way this dude's legit.

The real Lucious Clay was known to not compromise or reason… other than with some Nazis he was fond of. He then got into some shady stuff with Lehman Bros.

He’s earned his time. Excited to see how he does next season.
