Why do you think this? We will have different strengths, different questions, equal or more talent.

We're going to be very, very young. Next season will be similar to Bama's season this year but without Bryce Young; tons and tons of talent but lacking experience all over the field.

I expect us to go undefeated through the regular season but we'll lose to Bama in the SECCG and, if we still go into the playoff, we'll get eliminated there.

But if only JT had stayed or Vandagriff or Stockton played qb we'd repeat. Is that what you're saying.

We were young this year, on offense. We won’t be next year. We have solid leaders/experience at all 3 levels of the defense returning, and I’m not talking about backups from this year. We have a pretty easy schedule and by November no team is inexperienced.

We are a top 10/top 5 team who will be the odds on favorite from the East to play in Atlanta for a playoff spot. I don’t think you just say “well frick all that, let’s start the youngsters everywhere, especially QB, and play for 2023”

For this year’s team the schedule wouldn’t be difficult. To next year’s team, it may end up being. The offense may have to carry us a bit more.

Unfortunately, they are loudly pissing off players on Twitter as well.

Good call.

Just a brilliant fanbase we are. We win a national championship less than 2 weeks ago and our fans are bitching about the QB coming back. We are the biggest bunch of morons. We don’t deserve to make fun of any fanbase ever again.

Discussion is fine. Complaining about it is another thing.

a transfer at starting QB instead of an experienced

Weren't you excited in 2020 and in 2021 to have a transfer starting at QB? Both years Stetson Bennett IV bailed us out when the plans fell through. This year all the way to beating Alabama and winning the National Championship. So sorry for you that happened.

Very psyched about this. Will put Georgia as a top media story all year.

2022 is going to be a lot of fun for Georgia fans, imo.

The first QB to bring us a title in 41 years ... and he's coming back for another.

Yes, I really believe that to be true, Kirby looks at winning now, not 2 or 3 yrs down the road. If your head coach is basing starting decisions of of what a 18 to 20 yr old might do a year from now, your program is in big trouble. I believe that in Kirby's tenure he has played the best player at each position to win that day

Since Stetson has been compared to Belue, Belue was a junior in 1980 and came back to play as a senior in 1981. History repeats itself

Bryce Young had top tier talent at every position and he didn't look good against us. I guess when two teams with similar talent faces each other the cream rises to the top.

Alabama sure didn't look as good as UGA all season on defense. They were in a rebuild all around. Then take away Young's two best WRs and three other starters for the title game..but you already knew those facts. You just didn't want to mention them.

I guess by your argument, Bennett should have actually been given the Heisman, since he was clearly the better QB, right? lol Damn..you are old AND have a serious case of homer.

I didn't find 2021 embarrassing. I found Bennett embarrassing -- but much more so now.

Yep...better for the program in the long run. And a lot less embarrassing than UGA again trotting out a scrawny 25-year-old who doesn't seem to have any football future (unless it's arena football)
ok I doubted him as well he Vo proved me wrong but nothing about Bennett would be embarrassing I would think… also if he got into arena football I’d think he’d be doing pretty good for himself

In what game did he embarrass you in on his way to an undefeated regular season and a national championship?

I’m no insider, but there have been multiple mentions of Burton being a possible transfer for a few weeks.

Stetson won a NC

Because he just happened to be on the most talented UGA team in the history of the program was very fortunate for him. There are players like Bowers and Davis and Cine and Dean and Salyer..guys who are among the best in the nation at their positions. Then there are players like Bennett, benefiting from the greatness of others.

So, who on our roster should be the starter for 2022 and what are you basing that off of?
